[Continued from here.] Love. She'd said she loved him. Her hands trembled slightly as she unlocked the door and let Erskine in, locking it behind her. Keys went into a little bright blue plastic bucket near the door out of habit. Thulile worried her bottom lip, unsure of what to say or do right then. She... loved this man she had met not so long ago. This sweet gentleman who did not pressure her for sex... but who was surrounded by death and... When Thulile turned to look at Erskine she was crying again, softly, tears slowly falling. "I... love you... I..." she shook her head slightly, eyes large with wonder. this feeling of love had something different to it from all others before. Something just as unique as Erskine himself was. [@ricokincaid]

He could almost physically feel her sorrow, after quickly reading her aura as he sure of it. She was scared and sad. Had he caused this?
Then she turned and as crying, saying those words. Did beloved her? He certainly felt something for her he hadn't in such along time. It saddened him to see her cry, he as happy when he was with her and distracted when she wasn't.
His hands gently rested on her shoulders and he took a grip of them.
'Thulile....... I love you too.' he smiled warmly at her, painfully aware of his blood stained shirt.

Thulile reached up, her fingers lightly touching his wrist before tilting her head to rest her cheek against his hand there on her shoulder. Eyes closing. He loved her as well! The words warmed her, a balm upon the mental and emotional wounds dealt from as far back as the night with Mary and the first body to now. Even upon the old scars from previous men and woman who had hurt her for not being the sexual being they were. His cool hand, slightly warmer than usual - did feeding have something to do with that? - was a comfort where before it had been a startling difference.
"That's all I need," she said softly, voice thick with all the twisted up emotions. "No matter how scared I become... all I need is your love and I'll be alright." She did not say the rest. Did not say the words her insecurity wanted. She could not ask him not to leave her, afraid of what could happen if such a pathetic desire is uttered. Afraid of what would happen if he promised and then one day did leave. No, she'd be fine never voicing it.

He was quiet for a moment, her sudden silence threw him. Had he done something? Something that had suddenly changed her mind. Erskine almost panicked, or as close to panic as he could, he let his rational side take control.
'Thulile? What has made you suddenly so silent? Have my actions of tonight scared you?'

Thulile smiled a bit. "Yes, and no. I just... I'm not used to death and killing... but I can't be upset with you. You protected me." Thulile then shook her head again and moved close to kiss his lips.
"I... Need a shower. I might have an over-sized shirt you could wear, and I can try and... wash out the blood?" How did one wash out blood? There had to be a way, she just never needed to know. Well, now she had a reason to learn.
"Ummm... Would you want to use my shower too?"

Erskine listened the words and smiled, it was normal for a mortal to shy fomenting death. At least she wasn't shying from him. 'A shower? I suppose I could, you have yours first and I shall wait here, you have a lovely home. Thankyou for inviting me in to it.'
