It had taken Jillian a few moments to remember the way to the staff cabins. She was still carrying Matilda's painting, trying her best to keep what it showed from being seen. Hesitantly at first and then with more determination she knocked on the door.
"Hello? Is there anyone in, I'm looking for Agatha." She called out, her voice a little nervous. She was sure Agatha was the one in charge of the camp but had not seen much of her at all outside of roll call and such.

The cabins are empty, all the staff are out in the camp, busy with students.
As Jillian comes around a corner, she spies Agatha, sitting in the sun, knitting and smoking. The old witch would seem half asleep, if it weren't for the column of smoke, and the furiously moving knitting needles.

Jillian stood for a moment, taking in the scene and gathering her nerves before approaching the older witch slowly. "H-hello? Miss Larkshead? Professor Redthistle sent me to find you."

Agatha looked up at Jillian. She looked one hundred if she were a day, maybe older. Her face was weathered and lined and well tanned from the Aegean sun. She looked gruff and mean, then she smiled, and it totally changed her face.
"Well, you have found me now, what is the trouble?"
She set her knits ba to her oversized skirt pocket, and stood, picking up her cane and moving towards Jillian.

Jillian looked worried for a moment before relaxing at the look of the smile, she could not remember seeing anyone like the old witch before so she was surprised at the apparent strength of character to the old witches voice. "I was down by the lake and one of the younger girls, Matilda I think the professor said her name was, seemed to have collapsed from the sun while painting." She started, thinking it best to tell the events as she had seen them. "Professor Redthistle tended to her and decided to take her to the infirmary as she did not seem well, but.."
Jillian hesitated for a long moment as she adjusted her grip on the painting she had been almost clutching to her chest, she looked down at it with a worried expression and then slowly turned it about to show Agatha the painting of a figure standing in the centre of a darkly shadowed maze. "The girl had been painting this before falling asleep and experiencing some nightmare. You can see why both the professor and I were rather worried about it. That was why the professor sent me to find you and explain. The girl, Matilda, also mentioned something about her father I think. I assume he is the man in the painting and who she was dreaming about.." Jillian had given the explanation in a bit of a rush, clearly worried and determined to get the story right. When she was finished she gave the old witch an almost pleading look, still clutching the sides of the painting.

Agatha takes the painting from Jillian and looks at it closely.
"Yes, her foster father is in hospital, in a coma. Quite likely this is what Matilda sees when she thinks of him. Thank you for your concern for her."
She reaches into her gaping pockets and pulls forth a bag of humbug sweets, offering Matilda one.
"I should head to the infirmary to check on young Matilda. You can accompany me if you wish, or return to the Lake."

Having listened carefully Jillian accepted a sweet and gave a solemn nod when the old woman had finished, "I would like to come with you. It sounds like she could do with some company, at least until any friends she has around here show up."

Agatha nodded.
"Very well then, we should probably hurry."
She put away the sweets, and offered Jillian her hand. Once the young girl's hand was in hers, she apporated right into her infirmary with Jillian in tow.
