[june 18/19] consulting the Bishop

Exo makes his way in almost lazily with Mary. Well...it seemed like he didn't have a care in the world to anyone who wasn't Mary. But Mary knew him quite well. Exo took his Bishop title very seriously...and currently, they were meeting their newest recruit, the head of an entire pack that they had had the pleasure to bury. Today Exo had switched his usual white colors to black: bandanna, hoodie, jeans as well as opted for black fingered soft gloves. With his relaxed attitude, he allowed Mary to lead the way, admiring the architecture as they moved through the castle.

For a moment David was still in his own world and then slowly his eyes caught the sight of both of them and he stood and respectfully bowed and returned to his seat. His thumb now grazing his bottom lip. He needed to push aside everything in his mind except for what needed to be addressed. "Your Excellency, My Lady." His eyes going cold once more as he spoke. "I know we do not have a lot of time so I will make this very brief. A possible partnership has been presented to me. Should I accept this partnership the influence of the sect could extend out of New York and into the entire Northeast of America." David spoke directly and to the point.

"What is interesting......this partnership...was presented to me by a mortal, a man that control the mortal underworld of crime in the Northeast and he sought me out." He shifts a bit in his chair. "Years ago he was able to get a hold of a journal, my journal that I lost in a shipwreck centuries ago and he was able to find me and......" He paused for a moment and suppressed the memory of Dane. "Lets just say his invitation was rather....it was an interesting evening. Suffice it to say I requested to see you to request guidance before I agree or disagree with this partnership."

David fell silent now and waited to see how both would respond.

As Exo makes the decision to move, And does so, Mary offers David her hand with a smile, and follows Exo. Once they are in the sitting room, she closes the door. They have privacy now for sect business, no prying eyes, or listening ears.

She smiles at David, letting go his hand. She takes a waiting decanter, and glass, pours bloodwyne for Exo, then for David. Once done she sits fluidly at Exo's feet, leaning against his legs, one arm resting on his knees.

Exo took the glass with a smile and when Mary took her place at his feet, he slid fingers into her hair to caress her softly. Ink black eyes looked up to David as he took a sip of the wine, quiet for a long moment. "It's good to see you again, Songbird." He says softly with a smile. It seems that whatever David is talking about can wait for when Exo is ready for it. "Last time we saw you, we had given you a gift...for the night. Did you enjoy? And how is your pack doing in their new existence?"

Mary remains silent, sitting at Exo's feet, watching David. So he had enjoyed Aisha, finally. Clearly he'd taken his time. And she had stirred something in him. Interesting.

She moved her arm from Exo's knee, and lay her hearpd there instead, closing her eyes, purring gently at his touch.

David slowly gazes back at the both of them and leans back in the chair he was in. He contemplates the first part of what Exo states to him about the loss of Dane and understood where his bishop was coming from. WHoever was to replace Dane that Darren found David himself would make sure that the new one would be a perfect fit for the pack.

Quietly David listens to what Exo says about Aisha and then hearing that he was going to have to ask permission to court her, he honestly never knew that Aisha was either already claimed or being looked at. His eyes slowly going to Mary and he turns to where he could face her fully. "My Lady....would I have your permission to court Aisha? The draw to her...." David pauses for a moment trying to find his words. "She has stirred something inside of me that I do not desire to lose again."

David waited patiently.

Exo is quiet and nods to Mary when she looks up to him for permission. When she is done, Exo continues to caress her hair and looks up, catching David's eyes with his own. "I understand about...echoes stirring inside of you. But...one must not forget when to be...respectful and polite. You should have said something to Mary about taking her to New York. I can guess that you weren't thinking on whether or not she was claimed. It is lucky that she was not. Had she been? The consequences could have been dire, young Songbird..." his eyes flash again. "You assumed...and in the wrong situation, assuming can get you killed...or worse..." He takes another sip.

"A lesson you need to learn. Do you agree?"

"I understand that she showed up...but she is kine. I can only imagine how she found you unless you told her where you were. She should not have surprised you, young Songbird. You must be more vigilant...and not let these echoes lead your urges..." Exo eyes him and then takes a sip of his wine.

"Tell me everything you know about this mortal...starting with his name..."

David was fixing to speak when Mary spoke up about having Exo leave him be and he just sat there now taking another drink this time a long one as he went back to the memories of Arthur so that he would not miss any information for Exo.

"His name is Arthur Waterford. As Dane explained to me he is an underworld crime boss. A businessman. A seeker of knowledge. Scholar of older ways, older times, older magics." David pauses thinking more on what Arthur had told him about himself. "Also supposedly his god gave him magic. That one I do not understand yet but will look further into when the opportunity presents itself.....something about the Yellow King or something to that effect." He shrugs because it was something he just did not understand right now.

"Basically he has worked and clawed his way up the ranks to where he is now controlling the entire Northeast. He is at the point that neither gun, knife or threat will get him any further, his words. So with me what I get from him is that he wants to use me and my gifts to increase what he has already built. He was speaking about that if he and I combined that we could take the entire eastern coast of the United States." David took another drink confidant that was everything he could remember.

"My view for short term is influence into the Northeast for the sect and then work down the eastern coast using him and his organization and even put some of our people into the organization itself in time." David now gazes to Mary and pauses for a moment seeing something definitely darker about Mary tonight. "My Lady are you feeling well?" He asked curiously.

"As for the manpower My Lady, as the sect's influence grows it will be needed for packs to come in but that as I can see is a later goal. For now I wish to focus purely on influence and using this mortal to my advantage."

Exo was quiet as he listened to David and watched as Mary gave her proposal. When she looked at him, he looked into her eyes for a long quiet moment...before caressing her face and giving her a smile. Looking up to David, he quirks a brow. "This sounds like a solid plan. Are you ready to proceed as we say?" he asks, his eyes watching him and betraying no emotion. "What Mary proposes is sound and could prove if something is amiss..."

Mary nods at Davids words about his promise, then looks rather surprised at the mention of Erskine. Erskine hadn't mentioned anything to her about David visiting. Not that he had to.

"What medical procedure is he doing for you?" She looks up at Exo curiously. "Has he mentioned anything to you, my Bishop?"

"His procedure is to alter my facial bone structure, heighten the shadows and highlights that my natural skull shape. Also he will eradicate the slouch I have when you walk. Then my eyes he will brighten their color, make the viewers eyes drawn to them, irresistible! Hard not to look at, mesmerizing!" David whispered as he though about the procedure and tilts his head a bit wondering what the results would be and how much would it change him.

He looks up at Exo when he speaks. "Once the meeting is finished I will make sure that you will be the first to know of everything." David nods in respect. Seemed the meeting was now concluded and knew that the sun would be rising soon for them.

"Safe trip back to London to the both of you."

Exo caresses her hair and nods to David, watching him leave, not saying anything. "The Songbird has a lot to learn..." he says quietly to Mary. "He's teachable...but he toes the line. I can enjoy it...but there are lines not to mess with. One day, he might learn those lines...and not in a good way..."

"Next time I might do worse then leash you...for fun..." He grins and kisses her back before standing with her and taking her hand. "The nights are far too short...but at least I am spending them with you."
