It was already after 9 pm before Aisha had made her way to Diagon Alley. She had to search out the White Wyvern, realizing it was down in Knockturn Alley, she made her way down to the small pub. She was dressed in a simple top and black slacks, her heals clicking on the pave roads as she walked. When she finally opened the door to the pub the smells of the small joint hit her. It was a rather different smell than the places she had visited but she caught not grief from anyone as she made her way to a booth off to the side.
The waitress came over and she ordered herself some tea. She looked at the clock, she still had fifteen minutes. Enough time to enjoy her first cup of tea for the evening and to try and get her mind on track. So much had happened the week before and this week was a quiet one for her. She had been left to her own thoughts, which more times than not didn't bother her. She had heard through the grape vie that one professor was down at the moment and she wondered what would happen with the school.
During her down time she worked on lesson plans for the coming up school year and went about doing things behind the scene with her business. Another employee had gone missing. Something she needed to look into sooner rather then later.
The waitress returned with her tea within a few moments and Aisha paid the woman. She poured the kettle into the tea cup and sat now waiting as the clock ticked by.

At the exact time Rose had indicated in her message, the door of the White Wyvern opened as Nikolaus gallantly let Rose in. This week had been pretty hot for a month of June in London. But now that the sun had set, the temperature was much more pleasant. The Tremere Regent was wearing a black and white outfit composed of a cashmere patterned panty hose, a short black skirt, a white shirt and an elegant Victorian style jacket. After a nod to the bartender, Rose immediately noticed Aisha sitting in her booth, sipping her tea. She walked to her, a small smile on her lips. “Good evening, Professor Ria,” she said politely. “Thanks for accepting my invitation. I hope we didn’t keep you waiting.”

Nikolaus was following in lockstep behind Rose; well, as lockstep as a man who uses a cane to walk could be, anyway. It was the first time he managed to tear his eyes away from Rose, who looked damned good in that outfit. His own choice of outfit left him feeling under-dressed. If it wasn't for their (un)naturally low body temperatures, it would be absolutely unbearable in this heatwave. It's like Gehenna out here, he complained to Rose via Auspex, as they entered the White Wyvern. The pub in Knockturn Alley was a little seedy for his tastes, but everyone there knew who they were, and hey, their tea and coffee smelled of good quality at least. Not exactly like the brasseries that made up the Elysiums of Paris, or the never-sleeping nightclubs of Los Angeles, but the... colorful clientele made up for it. If nothing else, they provided no small amount of amusement. Aisha was already here. He stood next to Rose, hands resting on the handle of the cane he held in front of him at waist level. " Lovely weather, isn't it? This is the first time in my entire existence as kindred where I've considered making somebody bleed into a glass with ice cubes." One thing he likes about Knockturn Alley? No need to worry about the Masquerade.

Aisha watched as the two walked in. Their attire making her feel way under dressed, with the heat she wasn't going to run around in something to heavy. She smiled as they made their way over. "Good evening. Please call me Aisha. Professor is so formal. She put her tea down and slid out, standing out and offering her hand in greeting.
"Not at all. I came a few minutes early for some tea." She chuckled at the comment from Nikolaus. "In this heat, I am not sure ice would help, it might just add more water." She smiled and offered her hand to him as well.
"Please, sit. I hope your week was well." After shaking hands she took a seat back down.

"As you wish, Aisha," the Tremere answered as she shook her hand firmly before taking a sit across the table from the witch. Professor was a title one didn't acquire easily. Rose knew that from personal experience and had a lot of respect for it. However, she knew you often needed to be on first name basis with someone for them to start really acting as themselves and confiding in you.
She slightly rolled her eyes at Nikolaus' joke. That was her Whip for you. He could be extremely sarcastic, almost cruel, but at the same time casual and mundane, just like that. "Well, I heard they feed the lions in the zoo blood ice cubes in the summer, so it might actually help," She said to Aisha, while glancing at Nikolaus with a smirk. And she added telepathically for the other Tremere: 'In case you're looking for a new place where you can get blood and ice cubes, that could be an option.'
Rose orders some special wyne from the waitress before turning back to Aisha. "Our week was busy, so we can't complain," Since it's obviously a good think for a shop owner to have a busy week. "How about you?"

Don't feel too bad, Aisha; the Tremere may not look like they belong in a board room like the Ventrue or in a fashion catalog like the Toreador, but they were known for their sense of style, as well. Of course, when there's an almost continent-wide heat advisory (which, unfortunately, the Wizarding World was not exempt from), it wouldn't be possible if their body temperatures weren't already below natural levels, and indeed they'd be corpselike if not for the blood they had to consume.
"Aisha it is," he answered, taking her hand, before sliding into the booth next to Rose and propping his cane up against the wall. "Blood from what, exactly?" While he was always a creature of opportunity when it came to feeding, he bristled at the thought of drinking from an animal unless it was a matter of survival. It just wasn't the same as feeding on a live human being. There was a reason why the taste of living, mortal blood was just so intoxicating to a vampire. But he caught Rose's meaning. He thought back, with a smirk: 'Also sounds like a convenient place for an accident to happen.'
He turned back to Aisha. "Awful heat, cricket season, British kine--, pardon, 'muggle' youth rediscovering the thrill of political activism at all hours... what a time to not be alive." Certainly made feeding more satisfying. Heat plus tensions running high equals elevated heart rates, and that made the taste of blood all the more ripe.

Aisha laughed at the comment of Rose to Nikolaus. Then she wondered if they could eat animal blood. Maybe she will ask David? She wasn't entirely sure where that was going yet either. On the plus side at least David's voice at this interval hadn't been stuck in her head anymore. She had thanked Ambose for that but then that didn't turn out to great of a night either.
She looked up at the barmaid came up and she ordered herself a glass of Sharpham Summer Red from here. Her thoughts her own for now. She looked back to the two who she was seating with a smile to cover her thoughts of what happened last week. It was a rather tense week. Then she had met with Ambrose and that was over. She had hoped only that she didn't hurt him as she settled her thoughts to bring her back to the current room. It was rude to let thoughts wander.
"This week has been mostly calm. Some reading, lessons plans. Nothing to write home about." She said with a smile as the barmaid came back with her wine. She looked to Nikolaus. "I will never understand the issue muggle youngsters have, I am glad for the most part I am not involved in politics. It seems like a nasty business." She replied. "As for this awful heat, it is suppose to let up here next week at least one can hope." She added as she took a sip of the wine. Ah the taste of strawberries with a hint of vanilla. A refreshing vintage indeed. She thought.

Rose listened to Nikolaus' attempt at casual conversation - he had always been much better at that than she was - but all that while, she was studying Aisha. And for some reason, her aura clashed a bit with her statements. Rose wasn't going to try and read her thoughts, but the way Aisha's aura kept flickering and changing colors clearly meant she was confused or uncertain about something. The fact that the transfiguration professor had planned on only drinking tea and was now ordering wine was only confirming that. Yet Aisha was trying very hard to convince them she had had the most uneventful week possible. So the logical conclusion was: What was troubling her was highly personal and she had no intention to share this with two people she barely knew.
Rose chose to focus on subjets that seemed to provide Aisha comfort. "This berage smells delicious. Stawberries and a hint of vanilla, isn't it? I wish I could taste some. I think it's the kind of wine I would have liked back then." She meant, as the witch could easily guess, when she was still mortal. She paused as if something just occurred to her. "By the way, you said your specialty was transfiguration, correct? Last time we met, I completely forgot to ask if that meant you were an Animagus yourself?"

"I don't know, and frankly, I don't care. So long as Brexit doesn't interfere with my work, of course." Not likely. International boundaries were trivial at worst to Kindred, long before the Schengen Agreement ever became an issue. He glanced sideways at Rose; he barely even paid attention to the barmaid when she approached. Having only recently fed, he wasn't that thirsty; if anything, he just wished it was still possible for him to drink ice water.
He turned back to Aisha, listening as Rose attempted small-talk of her own. When she finished her question about being an Animagus - a concept that fascinated him, as well, as it sounded like something similar to Protean, only done with magic - he blinked, before his eyes narrowed, becoming hyper-focused on Aisha. He could feel it as well. Maybe a change of subject was in order?

Aisha watched as Rose seemed to study her for a moment, she wondered briefly if sh had given away to much of her personal issues with her body language or facial expressions. She would need to work on that she thought for a moment as she met Roses gaze with a smile. "Yes, it is a fairly new wine I have discovered. Quite the taste." She smiled softly.
"Yes that is correct." She smiled brightly then. "Yes as a matter of fact I am. I rather enjoy it as well." She loved her falcon form, it provided opportunities for many different things and it was probably her most precious magical gift, at least to herself. "Maybe before we part ways, I will let you see her beauty." She laughed softly.
"I did meet my first of your kind in that form. There is one of you that teaches at our school. Quite an interesting person. It was also whom I purchased the gift for but I have an inclining that you already knew that." There had been a lot of meaning behind words during their last interaction at the book store that left a bit of open interpretation.

"Is that so?" Rose leaned in a bit, the move betraying her increasing interest in Aisha's magic. She was glad she'd been right thinking she would be an Animagus too. "I'm looking forward to that. I do not doubt it is a sight to behold."
"Interesting, indeed. And how did Mary react to seeing you like that?" There was no point in beating around the bush. Everyone around this table knew who they were talking about, after all. "Did she like your present, by the way? I do not mean to be indiscreet but, well, all shopkeepers like good customer reviews." Rose's smile was impreccable and as businesslike as could be. The hint of spontaneity she'd displayed when they were talking about Aisha's magic was all but gone.

"You know I am not quite sure. I think I was more surprised that she came from the shadows. Seemingly out of no where." She replied noting that Rose seemed intrigued about her magic, her abilities. She herself enjoyed her magic so very much.
"I think she rather enjoyed the gift, I do appreciate the help with that." She said with a soft smile as she sipped her wine. She noted the change in the woman sitting across from her. It was a similar change she had to take when she was with her employees. All business. It was what pushed her out and into a behind the scenes roll more times than not.
"I do have a question that has intrigued me for sometime now." She looked up at her. "Maybe you could answer it. You do seem so interested in the magic after all."

"That's something... she does." She was about to say 'they' do - 'they' as in 'the Lasombra' - but she didn't want to sound like she was being derogatory, even if Tremere usually were towards other clans.
"Good. Then, I certainly do hope you'll come to us, again, should you need 'special' gifts for other friends, too." Her thoughts briefly drifted back to the male vampire she'd seen Aisha with at the Club but she didn't say it out loud. It would have been tactless.
"Yes?" Rose raised a delicate eyebrow as she looked back at the witch, evenly. "A question about magic, then?" She smirked slightly over the rim of her wyne glass before she took a sip. Back to her favorite topic. The Tremere had no doubt she would be able to answer Aisha's question. In her opinion, she knew more about magic than many witches and wizards she knew, and far more than most Kindred she knew. And yet, she always yearned to learn more.

Aisha said the magic word, no pun intended. At this point, Nikolaus knew better than to interrupt. He did, however, narrow his eyes just a little bit, focusing on Aisha. There had to be a reason she was asking. She had seemed bothered, earlier. Was she just trying to distract herself with a change of subject? Or maybe there really was something with which she believed Rose could be of help?
Like the dutiful partner he was, he remained silent, allowing the two to continue their conversation uninterrupted. While he had long since been desensitized to the idea that magic exists - he's a Tremere, for God's sake - the topic provided no small amount of interest to him, especially when he could hear Rose talk about it. He would have liked to visit Hogwarts, and for Rose to give him a tour, tell him about the time when she studied there, even if he knew the school was (mostly) off-limits due to the treaty. Maybe some day, he'd be able to, regardless.

"Well, you see. I know that at one point some of you, in general of course, not you particularly, well maybe," She waves a hand as she talks. "Either way, I do know that some have come from us, those with magical abilities. Though for what ever reason, the magic isn't there but you have other powers if you will. Theoretically and of course academia purposes do you think that magic can be used on your kind? Aside from all the dark spells or what have you. I am thinking more along the lines of my specialty with Transfigurations." She is speaking with much excitement and one could see how this conversation brightened her day.
"For example, we can shift many things, change them around, as long as they are relatively the same size, we can do this on muggles and of course others with magical abilities, as well as many types of animals. I wonder, if it would be possible for that to be done to your kind. Again academia and theoretically of course. I enjoy my animagious. I have little use of my powers there but I can shift back in a blink of an eye. I just wonder if it could be done, would your powers still be effective in say another form? Could potions as well work? Like the polly juice potion? So many questions." She chuckles softly as she takes a sip of her wine, waiting to see what Rose's input is on the ideas.

Rose listened to Aisha as she explained her reasoning and asked her questions. It showed she was a teacher. Her trail of thoughts was easy to follow and the assumptions she made were based on logical comparisons. The Tremere wondered if the witch had asked the same question to Mary before, or to other vampires, or to fellow teachers maybe? But whether she had or not, Rose was planning on giving her a straightforward answer. She wouldn't be betraying any Tremere secret telling her what she wanted to know there.
"Some Kindred possess the ability to shift the very structure and shape of objects and individuals, whether Kindred or Kine, with mere touches. But only Kindred from a certain Clan are able to do that, and only if they've reached a certain degree of mastery of their Discipline. They can change their own appearance or the appearance of others pretty much to the limits of their own imagination. However this power of theirs, although great, is not absolute: some Kindred of another specific Clan remain immune to their powers. That's the first part of my answer to your question.
The second part would be that some Clans of Kindred, while they can't do this to others, are able to shift into an animal form. Usually, only one specific animal per Kindred and again whether the transformation is only partial or total depends on their level of mastery in their Discipline.
The third and last part would be the use of potions on a vampire. Surprisingly enough, the results of such experiments are rare and rather inconclusive," experiments recorded by Clan Tremere, of course, but Rose chose to leave that part unsaid. Part of her wished she could have access to Tzimisce archives. "But it appears that witch and wizard's magic, whether under the form of a spell or of a potion, could possibly alter the appearance of a Kindred but the success of this transformation depends on a rather large number of factors such as: The generation of the Kindred, the Clan to which they belong, their levels of mastery in their Disciplines and whether or not they know rituals to protect themselves from magic. Witch and Wizard's magic can affect vampires, it is a fact, but modifying the appearance of a Kindred has always been a peculiar topic. Some books explain that, as immortals, the appearance of vampires is intrinsically supposed to remain unchanged over time and that it confers us a certain degree of immunity to some kinds of magic meant to alter our appearance. Of course, it's only a theory."
Rose paused, to take a sip of wyne as well and to analyze the other woman's reaction.
"Now if we consider the opposite situation, I believe that if a Kindred was to try and use their Discipline to alter the appearance of a witch or wizard, it might work as well. Again, it would depend on how powerful the Kindred and the witch respectively are. That said, even if it did work, a curative spell or a potion might be able to undo the alteration performed by the Kindred. I haven't yet had the opportunity to experiment on this, but it would be interesting to be able to confirm or reject those hypotheses, don't you think?"
These ones and so many others. The Tremere Regent said no more after that, waiting for the Professor of Transfiguration to ask more questions if she had any. Had she wanted to give Aisha a complete answer, she would have mentioned the Path of Alchemy, but since it was a Tremere Discipine, Rose, as the good Tremere Regent she was, considered she had given Aisha enough to think about at that point. Tremere being secretive about their own Discipline wasn't a myth at all. They hadn't become as powerful as they were by telling others about their specific techniques, after all.

Aisha listened in depth to each part that Rose had spoke of. It was a lot of information, she wished she had her notebook with her. Doing her best to keep track of it all with mental notes hopefully did the trick as she lifted her glass to sip on the wine. There was so much, so much wonderful news and theory's and possibilities. It showed on her face as the conversation went on.
"Alright, so it is similar in a way to witches and wizards yet not, for even though we all posses the ability to learn most things, we normally excel at only a few different studies. Such as myself with Transfigurations, though not to say that I can't do other magic, that just happens to be my specialty if you will. I do find it interesting however that each clan? I believe was the word has different abilities, which sounds like maybe that clans are possibly separated by abilities? Maybe blood? Possibly." The last part was more of a rhetorical statement as she spoke.
"Yes, yes we can only shift into a single animal as well with the animagious. Though that doesn't mean I couldn't turn another into an animal I wished, of course that would only be done strictly on academia purposes. I would not ever do that without permission of another." She had placed her glass down as her hands seemed to move with her as she spoke, the more she spoke the more excited she had become.
"If only potions was my field of expertise. I dabble but alas it is not my strongest subject." She thought for a moment. "Yes, yes, that would make sense, not changing, though it would be exciting to see how one reacts to such a thing. Such as my falcon, to fly over head, it is incredible, I wonder how a Kindred? Would feel though." She seemed to speaking to herself again for a moment as she made more mental notes.
"Theory is always a starting place." She laughed softly. "I know first hand that most potions can undo certain effects caused by your kind, the Kindred. As for the alteration, that would be interesting. I wonder." She pondered for a moment. "As most that want to have their appearances can do so through magic of some sort, charms or what not, if they would ever even considered such a thing. I would imagine that it could end up being painful depending on the gifts used. That would be an interesting theory to consider as well." She seemed lost in her thoughts for several moments.
She in fact wan't lost but in her mind she had been placing key notes here and there in her mind, as if she was filing things. She would need to pull this memory out later to go over again. She needed to find a pensive to use. "It would indeed be an interesting thing to work on. Maybe." She thought. Maybe I will see if I could find someone that was willing to work on this with me. Though in hindsight I would need to be able to provide one that would do the same for them as well. Something to think about.
"I think the best way to pair such 'subjects' together would probably be along the lines of one of the Kindred having similar abilities to the witch or wizard for such an experiment. Such as one that does have the ability to shift with a touch or the one that can change into an animal for transfiguration experimentation. Maybe there is someone that dabbles in a form of potions, the science of it that could work with someone as well that excelled in such a thing from both worlds. There could be many application that could come from this that could benefit both if done properly. Though of course, there are those that always take creations and use them against others. She thought to herself but didn't add to it at the moment.
She picked up her wine glass again and took a sip. "The possibilities could be endless." She said with a bright smile and a gleam to her eyes.

Rose's topic of choice had proven every bit as educational for him as it had for Aisha. Sure, he knew of Vicissitude, the Nosferatu, Protean, et cetera, but it had never been a matter of study for him beyond the absolutely necessary; mainly, how to defend against it. The former required skin-to-skin contact, and a certain ability of his own would ensure that anyone attempting to get close enough to try was in for a very nasty and painful surprise. Nosferatu were cursed to always be hideous, walking Masquerade violations, and Protean wasn't terribly unlike Animagus, with higher levels allowing even more complex transformations. Basic stuff for Kindred.
But the possibility of transfiguring or giving a polyjuice potion to a Kindred? Usually (with very few notable exceptions), anything that wasn't blood that was swallowed by a Kindred was violently vomited back up, later. Would they even be able to ingest the potion? And if so, would it work? It was an interesting question. As for transfiguration... well, Vicissitude worked on anything that wasn't a Nosferatu. Changing a Kindred's appearance via magic sounded possible to him in theory... but he highly doubted magic could be use to subvert or undermine the Curse of Caine. Attempts to do so with Thaumaturgy in the past ended in miserable failure. He can't imagine kine magic would be any more successful.
Nikolaus wondered if Rose was already thinking of suckering some neonate or thinblood into trying. And the revelation that kine potions could undo the effects of certain Kindred abilities was information he'd file away for later.
The possibility of combining kine magic with Thaumaturgy was a fascinating prospect. But... 'She's certainly eager,' he thought to Rose. 'She's a Hogwarts professor, though. Doesn't she know the risks of doing something like this behind the backs of the Ministry?' Does she even care, he thought to himself?
He narrowed his eyes, focusing on Aisha.
"Truly, it's an interesting proposal. But, I must ask: You are a professor at Hogwarts, are you not? Would Madame McGonagall" - there wasn't a single witch, wizard, or Kindred (especially Tremere) in Europe who hasn't heard of her at this point - "or perhaps, more importantly, the Ministry approve of such experiments?"
Or did she plan on doing this on the side?

Aisha looked from Rose to Nikolaus when he asked his question of her. She seemed taken aback for a moment or so before replying to him. "I am a Professor at Hogwarts, as for the Head Mistress or the Ministry, one wouldn't go to them with empty hands. This is pure speculation at this point. Theory if you will. I cannot go to them and request such things without having written documentation of all the different possibilities that could arise from such a thing. Though I am sure if the Head Mistress gave her blessing the Ministry would as well if she were to back it up for strictly academia purposes."
Her voice dropped low as she looked around the pub, she didn't want anyone over hearing the next part. "Though I know knowledge could be twisted and used in a matter of different ways, I am not sure I would ever bring it to the ministry either. It is a lot to take in and research before even possibly ever moving to the actual testing phase. The ministry could and most likely would use it against your kind and I am not going to be the one that gives them such knowledge to use against your kind. Then all would know and I would have a target on my back. Again I was just purely being curious. Kindred though around for quite a long time, it is still a newer magical creature in our world. I would dare say there aren't many books that discuss it in grave detail like they do of other creatures. There are of course teachings that help to try and protect from kindred. Though again I would say it isn't as detailed as it should be. Protection all around is a necessity. We protect ours and your protect yours. That isn't to say that the treaty in place between wizards and vampires is not already doing that, but I am sure there are those far exceeding my thoughts and could very well being make strides that have yet to be seen on what goes on in your world. It is only a matter of time. Time reveals all."
Aisha sat back up and smiled softly. "Again, this was just a question of curiosity. Something to think about. Though like I said, I am sure someone out there in this vast world has already started such things and most likely has gone far beyond what I would ever consider thinking over." She picked up her wine and took another sip looking at the two of them. She wouldn't of course proceed ahead with anything first without everything written out, all the possibilities that could arise like she had said. The more she thought about it actually coming to fruition though, the more she thought she would steer away from it because she knew how the Ministry could work. She remembered as a child all the people that worked there and used things to help others. Would she really want to be the one that learned how magic would interact with the vampires, be the one that caused any unforeseen event in the future? Her name would get around if she published something along that line and like she mentioned she would be the one they would come after whether it be a good thing or a bad thing, she wasn't quite sure she was ready for that sort of attention.

Rose was used to Nikolaus' rather blunt attitude and way of asking provocative questions purely in order to get a strong reaction from the person he was talking to. Most of the time, it wouldn't work on the Regent but it would on pretty much anyone else, especially those who didn't know him well yet. So, she wasn't surprised by Aisha's surprised reaction. However her answer did surprise her, in a pleasant way.
"You have an excellent point there. One never goes asking for their superior to approve some research without a documented research project and basic evidence that it might actually lead somethere." It was especially true among the Tremere. Research was taken very seriously and a Regent or a Pontifex would never allow a fellow Tremere to spend time or funds on a vague theory.
"And I believe you're right to be cautious about what the Ministry would do if some of the people working there would caught wind of the possible implications of this particular research. I know some members of the Ministry have a high level of ethics but, as they say, you only need one rotten apple." It was a risk for their fellow Kindred that the Tremere Regent would not take, and it was rather encouraging that her and Aisha seemed to see eye to eye on that regard. Because of how close she seemed to be to Mary Del Belmonte, Rose wasn't quite sure if she could trust the transfiguration teacher just yet. But she had rather enjoyed their conversations so far.
Plus, there was that 'boyfriend' of hers... She didn't know him yet but he was at the Club so he could be Sabbat too.
Rose sighed. Her life would be so much easier for her if the Sabbat wasn't in the picture... But, well, better the Devil you know, they say.
She smirks slightly. "Nothing wrong with curiosity, as long as you know who to ask and to stay safe." She briefly thought of Jillian but she decided not to mention the encounter to Aisha. No need to put the poor girl in trouble for wandering alone in the streets of London at night. "Besides, I'm a bit like that, myself. I always have lots of questions on my mind."

"Time buries as much as it reveals," Nikolaus replied, but his expression was that of pleasant surprise. Aisha held a great deal of ambition, a clear willingness to bend the rules, and he could feel deep, much more personal motivation bubbling beneath the surface.
Good.
"You're brave. Expressing a desire to do something behind the Ministry's back, telling us to our faces that your intention is to learn about us. Truly, muggles as you call them, don't like what they find when they try, and the Masquerade demands that they never have the opportunity to share their findings with the world. But..." Nikolaus pauses, glancing at his watch. A silver, Swiss-made watch that, despite its dated design, was still clearly in mint condition. "That doesn't apply to you. You're familiar with the concept of 'Prestation,' oui?"
He'll leave that one to Rose to explain, unless she asked him to.

Aisha nodded her head in understanding as she sipped her wine. "Brave?" She smiled. "I am not sure that word would work. Curious, yes, foolish possibly. Though, no advances would of been made if someone didn't take a foolish step to sate their curiosity. Still not sure brave is the proper word." She pondered for a moment of two.
"You are free to ask questions dear. I would answer to the best of my ability. I have no reason to not answer if there is something you wish to know." She smiled softly. She liked the way it seemed to her that Rose's mind seemed to work.
"Masquerade?" She had an 'oh yes' moment. "Yes well sharing findings in one thing, but none the less the experience would be an interesting one to write about should one want to take such a path to find what they could. Besides muggles have books that speculate doesn't mean that they are accurate. I am sure they have similar ones about kindred, though from experience they do seem to teeter more on the line of fabled tales or movies." She chuckled softly thinking about all the movies and books put out via their kind.
"Prestation? My French is a bit rough." She wasn't sure she knew the word and what it meant but she could take a gander.

Rose pondered Aisha's words a moment. "It takes looking at things from a different angle to make new discoveries. But I do not believe foolishness is required, unless it is meant as in... creativity?" Despite being able to enjoy things unrelated to sciences and magic such as music or art, Rose lacked that little bit of crazyness Aisha was referring to and she knew it.
The Tremere smiled a bit in return. "Do you have all night, then?" She took a sip of wyne. "I often wonder why a wizard or a witch when they're embraced have to loose their ability to use spells or to make potions? They still remember how it's done, that feeling that goes through you when you know you did it right..." Her eyes were still on Aisha but for a moment, her mind was far away from the tavern. "That is something..." I find intrinsically unfair "I cannot quite explain from a biological or even logical standpoint. What do you think?"
"Well, put simply, 'prestation' originally refers to the process of trading, repaying and incurring favors among Kindred. But as Kindred decided to make alliances or treaties with other communities such as witches and wizards, the concept progressively extended to them as well." She paused before looking Aisha in the eye. "It's a bit like what we agreed upon, you and I, during you last visit at the bookstore, if you remember? Except it usually applies to favors of a much more significant nature."

Aisha listened to Rose as she spoke to each point Aisha had brought up. "I would not have an good answer for that. I don't know the biological make-up to a vampire, nor do I have the science of biology on my side as it is." She smiled softly. "I think doing a potion would be relatively easy though as their are muggles that can combine things to make similar drinks of a sort. I don't see why it couldn't be done but then again I have been magical since the day I was born. I have little knowledge outside of my culture and upbringing on what a Kindred could do without the proper requirements." She took a sip of her wine, finishing off her glass.
"I do recall, yes." She said simply. "Makes sense, a sort of barter system."
As for the foolishness to begin something, Aisha had just enough to try it. She sported a grin on her face, she always had that drive to try new things, to test theories.

Well, if Rose wasn't in full scientist mode before, she certainly was now. 'Do you have all night' indeed.
She may not have said it out loud, but Nikolaus knew. It was a topic he had to tread carefully around; Rose had one hell of a pureblood pedigree and had the potential to become an extraordinarily powerful witch. In that regard, she was similar to the founder of Clan Tremere, himself; Thaumaturgy would not have been discovered had the founders of the clan not found their loss of magic unacceptable.
Holding his tongue for now, Rose answered Aisha's question better than he ever could. He'd choose instead to sit and listen.

Rose shrugged. "I don’t know either." And it wasn’t for lack of having studied the subject either. "Maybe someday I…" She paused. "Or, well, someone else I guess will figure it out." But she'd rather it'd be her. What an accomplishment it would be. And, more importantly, she wanted to find a way to reverse that phenomenon. That was, after all, Rose’s ultimate goal.
The Tremere smiled. "I’m glad we got to meet casually like that. Hopefully we’ll have other opportunities in the future." She was done with her glass as well.
