Teagan had managed to find her own way to the camp. It took several attempts having not really used the dreaming to travel else where except to New York for work. She would have to remember this travel system to see more places around the world. But this visit....Was not one Teagan hoped to be making.
The women was dressed casually in a light colored sun dress, and sandals, her auburn hair pulled back and out of her face. She entered the camp, finding the reception area and walking into the main building, fixing the light cross body purse, that held her ID and other information.
Walking up to the desk she peers up over the desk. Being short had its downfalls. "Hello, Excuse me. I am Teagan Caball...I am looking for Matilda Wilson. I am...I'm her foster mom, and we've had a bit of a family emergency...."
Her voice is soft and quiet. There is still pain behind the words, still unable to process what exactly was going on...She never thought she was going to have to come to camp, all the way in Greece and tell Matilda that her daddy was in the hospital.

A house elf popped up from behind the counter, gave Teagan a good looking over using the bottom of a bottle as a lens.
"Eh, you're no witch. How'd you get here! I'll have to call the mistress, she won't be happy."
It run off again, all flustered, and after a few. Inured, an old woman returns. She must be well over 100 years old.
She looks st a Teagan. "You said something about Miss Wilson, I'm told. But I couldn't get enough sense out of him to say what."
The woman offers Teagan her hand in greeting.
"I'm Agatha Larkshead, camp coordinator, how can I be of assistance?" And she steers Teagan to two chairs on the porch as the elf brings tea.

Teagan steps back as the creature pops up and looks at her through the bottom of a bottle. It was indeed odd, but she had been warned before that the camp was for magical children, so may have things Teagan would not understand. He runs off and Teagan stands there looking about the room, taking in different postings and pictures.
When the older women appears Teagan smiles. "I didn't mean to scare them...I had to travel here by my own means" She says softly. "Teagan Caball," She answers putting her hand in the older womens and following her to two chairs.
"I am the guardian for Matilda. It would appear...." She stops, trying to find the words. She was trying to keep it together.
"We had a bit of a family emergency. Dristan, my fiance' was in a horrid car accident this past Saturday morning. He is currently lost in his mind. I thought it only right to come talk to her personally and give her an option to come home to see him."

The old witch's grip is firm, belying her age. Once they're seated she pours the tea, then picks up her knitting, looks at Teagan.
"That's dreadful news. The young lass was just starting to settle in, make some friends. She's a tough one, though." She drops some of her knitting, and it seems to form itself into a small awkward creature. "Fetch Matilda for me, and be quick about it." And the blob with too many legs, and yet none, scurries off into the trees.
"I thought Matilda was under the guardianship of the MACUSA currently. What is your fiancé's full name, dear? And just how did you find your way here?"

She watches the old women and her knitting. She always found the art fascinating. She remembered her grandmother doing it near the fire on Holidays she would visit....
"She is...technically. My Fiance and I were fostering her before she came to camp, and we're hoping to take her on full time, if the states allow" She whispers. "She is a tough one. Hense her nick name of Champion" She watches the womens hands work with the yarn.
"Dristan Adamson- He is a professor" She states. "And here...It's hard to explain. Much like your use of old objects to travel, I use dreams" It was the simplest way to explain it. "Allows for quick travel when I need it. It was best this way then to spend hours or days on those...human bird machines to get here..."

Matilda had been working on the sketches still from the bonfire. She had several of them already on canvas, now she was working on the flames that danced like people. It was memorizing to her and she hoped that she could bring it justice. "You know this one I think it going to be the hardest." She looked up to Ms. Masters.
Suddenly a yarn like creature popped up and Matilda looked at it. "Um." She said as she stared at the thing. When it mentioned she was needed at the office she felt a bit apprehensive. "Did I do something wrong?" She looked up at Ms. Masters and then put her stuff away and walked to the office.
She opened the door and looked in. "Yes?" She peered in and saw Teagan, her eyes were wide and she ran to her. "MOM!!!" She gave her the biggest hug she could as her heart pounded in her chest. "I didn't know Dad and you were coming! This is awesome! I can't wait to show you everything!! You should see my drawings! Ms. Masters is here also!! She has been helping too! OH!!! And you have to meet Kiami!!! She as a kitten just like Morticia, except his name is Gomez and he is white. They are perfect for each other. Oh!!! Oh!!! And we are going to be first years together at the same school!! Isn't that wonderful!!" Morticia took it upon herself to jump between them and announce she was there as well.

The old witch listens as Teagan explains, nodding and knitting. "What the ministries decide isn't for me to say, but I'll say that Champion does suit her. What are you, lass?"
And then, the whirlwind that is Matilda arrives.
Agatha let's Matilda's enthusiasm boil down to a simmer. Whatever the official paperwork, this child belonged with this couple. That much was clear.
"Now, now, Miss Wilson. Calm yourself. I called you here because Miss Caball has something to tell you."
He old woman gets up, leaving her chair and untouched tea for Matilda, and gives them some privacy....

Teagan was about the answer the women, the best she could before the door slammed open and the girl came jumping into her arms. They wrapped around her tightly, hugging her closely and trying her hardest not the cry as she rambled on about all of the things she was experiencing. She was so happy she had been sent here, and she was making friends. And it broke her heart to have to tell her this.
When Matilda was calm, Teagan took her hands and took in a deep breath. "I did not plan this visit little champion...But--I have sad news." Her hazel eyes looked at her, and she could not help but let the tears well in her eyes. "Your dad was in a normal human accident. He's at the magic hospital where they are taking very good care of him..." She pause, her head lowers as she tries to get her words back. "They fixed him...his body is fixed but it would seem your dad is lost in his own mind...and until he finds his way back...he wont wake up."

Thulile was such a creature of the moment, unable to hide her emotions to save her life. Or so she would have agreed with. This though? This was different. There was a necessity behind keeping a happy facade that Thulile clung to. She wouldn't show the sadness until Matilda was away and couldn't see. Knowing that the news to come would be hard for the girl to handle, especially considering what Dristan had told her the day before the accident. It had been an awful couple of days, but Thulile was doing well with it.
"Those are the best sometimes," Thulile said until they were interrupted.
When Matilda looked at Thulile the girl would notice she had a guarded expression, unnatural for the woman. But she forced a smile and urged Matilda to go. Following along with Matilda Thulile paused the girl long enough to squeeze her shoulder. "I'll wait out here." And then she sent Matilda inside, giving the women a sad smile before the door closed and she went to sit nearby and wait. Within earshot and wanting to give them time alone.

Matilda took a deep breathe and looked to Miss Agatha. "Yes Aunt Agatha." She smiled and watched as the elder woman left the room. Matilda looked just outside the door. She knew that Ms. Masters was there also. She wondered why she came with her. When she turned back to look at Teagan she stared up at her. It was as if all the happiness just drained from the world.
She heard her words, knew he was okay, but she had spoken to him a few days ago. They wrote each other. She was standing there, her body started to shake, tears formed in her eyes and she blinked. "No." She gasped. Her body sunk to the floor, the little girl crumbled down and cried. "Daddy." She cried even harder, the only words coming from her, no and daddy in between the sobs of pain and heartbreak. She didn't know what to say or how to process what was being told to her.
Then she looked up. "Then I will find him!" She screamed out. "Let me go to Daddy! He needs us!" She was a mess, like any girl would be if they had just heard the worse news ever, to Matilda it was as if he was dying and she couldn't keep her mind from straying into the morbid thoughts of death as she thought of him.

Teagan collapsed with her onto the floor, just holding her and allowing her sobs. Her arms were tightly wrapped around her. Teagan was trying hard to keep herself together. She needed to.
Her eyes looking down to her. She didn't know what else to say to her except letting her cry. When she finally looked up to her and spoke, Teagans heart broke even more. "There are several people there, trying to help your daddy find his way back. But I felt that I should come see you face to face and we can talk..." She takes in a deep breath. "I want to give you the option to either come home for a few days....And when you are ready, you can come back to camp and if your aunt will allow you to visits then you can come visit us anytime you want." She sighs wiping her own tears with her fingers.
"You just have to tell me what you wish..."

Matilda looked at Teagan "To come home! To go see him! He needs us! We can't...I can't....stay here." She was crying so hard again. Her face paled even more at the thougts of everything that could of happened to him. She didn't know the details, probably never would, but living in New York she had seen her fair share of auto accidents and she knew that they could be terrible. Magic couldn't fix everything, some where deep inside she knew that.
She wrapped her body around Teagan and cried again, crawling into her lap. Morticia just looked on from a chair. She was mewling out matching Matilda's cries. The two of them matched in their sobs. She couldn't feel anything else but this pain now, her heart breaking. She would be fatherless again. She would be alone again. She wouldn't have anyone, no family, nothing. She would have to go back to the foster system in New York. Her mind kept spiraling down now as each new thought of what if crossed her mind.

In the background, Agatha has been busy, clearing the girl's departure with the MACUSA. The poor child needed family, and this was all she had. Keeping her here when she needed to be with them would,be nothing short of cruel.
She came back into the room, leaned down to speak to Teagan and Matilda.
"You can go, little one, for a visit. I've talked with the people who make the rules, and you can go, and come back. And later, you can go again. All will be well, I'm sure."
She looks at Teagan. "Still not sure what a Dreaming is,,but if you like, you can use our portkey back to London with the girl. Probably quicker."

Teagan held her. "Okay. Okay." She says softly. "We can go. Lets go back a small bag if you wish and we will go. Okay?" She leans in to kiss the girls forehead and stood to her feet, holding her hand out to help Matilda. She looks to the old women and smiles. "Thank you. I will have her back in a few days." She weakly and leads Matilda out of the building.
There near the door was the women from the hospital. "Ms. Masters." She says softly. "I wanted to apologize for my rudeness the other day...with everything going on...I do hope you can forgive me." Her words were soft. She hadn't meant to ignore the women that day the accident had occured.

Matilda was sobbing still, her eyes red and swollen, her vision blurry. Morticia came to her arms as she stood up and holding Teagan's hand, she followed her. She didn't hear the converstaion's going on around her, she was lost in her own thoughts. Crying over the fact she might loose her only chance to have a family if Dristan doesn't wake. Why would the foster system put her in a place where there is enough going on already.

When the door opened and they were exiting Thulile was wiping tears from her eyes. She would have been a heartless woman to not be moved by the sorrow in that room. She hardly expected to be addressed and was merely going to return to tidy up after her art session with Matilda was interrupted. So when Teagan spoke to her there was a moment of surprise, and then a shake of her head.
"Don't. You were not rude and it wasn't my place to be there to begin with." She then gave Matilda a little smile. "He loves you both so much. Most of what I ever talked about with Dristan was about you two." Thulile was determined not to try, but her eyes were overly bright with the threat of tears.

Teagan looks to Thulile and she nods. "You are a friend. You had every right to be there" She nods. "Can you help us get her things so we can go?" She asks softly. Her arms still wrap around Matilda. She didn't want her summer to end like this. She had gotten so close to them, and she didn't want Matilda to feel like she was losing her father. They had only just gotten her used to the family dynamic....

"Of course." Thulile motioned for Teagan and Matilda to follow her and started to lead them back toward Matilda's cabin. "I can secure and protect the paintings Matilda is currently working on and get them to you later. That way what she just did can have a chance to dry."

Matilda whispered a thanks, not really paying attention. She clung to Teagan and though her tears had dried she was sniffling trying to breathe. She felt as though she was walking in a dream. "Can we go now please?" She whispered up to her mom, she really needed to see her dad. She needed to know he wasn't hooked up to a million different things like she had seen on tv. She need to know that he was going to be okay with her own eyes.

Teagan followed Thulile to Matilda's cabin and opened the door. "Grab what you want. You only need a few things. Rememver we have all your clothes at the house too" She speaks quietly. She needed to try and stay strong. It had been several days but the pain still lingered and she watched him everyday hoping he would wake up.

Agatha is waiting for them back at reception. When they are ready, she leads them to the portkey in a back room.
"This will take you to the Ministry in London," she explains. "They know you are coming, and will get you where you need to go."
She hugs Matilda before she leaves.
"God speed little one."

Matilda stood in the door of her cabin. "I DON'T WANT ANYTHING!!!" She screamed on the top of her lungs, holding the cat. She didn't need anything, just needed to get to her dad. "Just take me to him!! Take me to daddy! Please Mommy!!" She was crying again and several eyes had turned to look at the scene the little girl was making.
She didn't need to grab anything, she had Morticia, that was all she needed. She looked from the two of them and looked that the portkey. "Please mommy. Just take me to Dad." Tears streamed down her face. She needed to see her dad. She needed to know. Why couldn't they understand that? Why did they want her to pack anything? Nothing here was worth it. Nothing was worth being without a family that she felt she finally had papers or not be damned.

Teagan nods to Matilda. "Alright." She whispers as she leads Matilda back to the reception building. And to the back room where Agatha lead them. She thanks the older women and in an instant Matilda, Teagan, and Morticia are met at the Ministry and escorted back to St. Mungos.
