Peeves, you rascal! Where have you put my keys to the other common rooms? I am a professor of this school and not to be trifled with! /joke
About the common rooms, how do the permissions work? I agree that I should mainly restrict my actions to the Gryffindor common room, as Head of that House, but there are surely times where I would find it prudent or necessary to enter the others houses' common rooms. I mean, even students can go to the other houses' common rooms, can they not?

The way we set up our locks and permissions if you're not in that house, you cannot get in or even see the common rooms. So head of Gryffindor can only get into Gryffindor and if there is an incident involving another house then that head of house should be contacted to deal with it. It's to help spread out responsibility and give the students refuge from other houses (to make plans etc).

I suppose I could also go to the Headmistress, if necessary? Very well.

Nothing... yet. I always prefer to have the full account of my options in every situation, that is all. I'm sure in a truly dire circumstance I could simply blast the guardian portraits and doors off of their hinges, but I'd rather not have to resort to that. If I send a patronus message to the Headmistress, would she be able to extend permission to me remotely?

I've re-arranged it so all professors can get into the common rooms
