David had to return. The echoes had pushed him to write another song as though the lyrics wanted to burst forth from his mind. Perhaps it was from the last visit and the conversation with Elezandra that was driving this echo of a fire in him to compose but he needed to let the fire do what it willed or he would burst. Upon arrival dressed back in all black once more with notebook and pen he made his way to the bar and received a glass and to a table in the corner away from everyone he went sitting down.
"To title this story...." David whispered as he drank setting the glass down. "Redeemer.....yes....perfect." David wrote down the title and closed his eyes forming the lyrics from the chaos of words in his mind as his mind always was when composing. "The hunger inside given to me makes me what I am.......Always it is calling me, for the blood of man" A slight whisper of words as he opened his eyes and began to write his lyrics.
Heretical yes, law breaking indeed but the words had to be written or else the vampire would feel he would implode not setting it to paper. "I say I did and always searching...." David paused closing his eyes once more seeing the story start to unfold and lowering his head opening his eyes once more writing even more. "What you see, take this gift from me." Another slight whisper as he played out the story more and more. David was at it for several minutes as other Cainites moved near him but not coming close enough to him.
"How to end the story......." Tapping the pen to his bottom lip in deep thought. "Has to tie.....all of it...." David rubbed the back of his neck and sighed. Then a smile graced his lips as he drank more of the bloodwyne. "It's Haunting Me.......repeat." David set the pen down on the table and lifted up the notebook to really read what he wrote for the story and dissecting and letting the story now that it was to paper play out in his mind.
What he saw was a story dark and how the creature he had become was. This was the vampire not the man he was. This was.....a story of a description of the creature. He grabbed the pen and started to make adjustments.
The hunger inside given to me makes me what I am
Always it is calling me, for the blood of man
They say I cannot be this I am jaded
Hiding from the day
I can't bear I cannot tame the hunger in me
Oh
I say I did and always searching
you can't mess with me
So, instead you'll taste my pain
The hunger inside given to me makes me feel alive
Always out stalking prey
In the dark I hide
Feeling, Falling, Hating, Feel like I am fading, hating LIFE!
They say I cannot be this I am jaded
Hiding from the day
I can't bear I cannot tame the hunger in me
Oh
I say I did and always searching
You can't mess with fate
So, instead you'll taste my pain
You say your life I'm taking
Always bothering me
I can't take this anymore
I'm failing, always smothering me
You look down on me
Hey
What you see, take this gift from me
You will soon be ME!
Nothing seems exciting, always the same hiding...hiidiinnggg...
It's haunting me (x5)

Elezandra steps out of a chamber above, she looks out the window upstairs then walks over to the balcony looking down at the room on a whole. It was as if she was waiting for something, the way her eyes look at the door. She didn't move very much, she was always transfixed and in her own thoughts.

Maria enters the main bar area, pausing to look around. She is neat, and tidy, and clean, but something in her eyes says that she is harried and weary, yet excited.
She goes to the bar, orders a 'special', and sips almost longingly. Only then does she take the time to look around and see who else is here. Elezandra she notices first. She nods to the other elder, acknowledging her, but doesn't move in her direction. It's clear there is something the two need to do, but not just yet. Mary would take a minute to refresh herself first.
There, in the far corner, the young Son she had spoken to recently. It seemed like forever ago. Moving from the bar she approached him, to stand slightly behind him, arching to glance over his shoulder at what he was writing.
Before he could notice her, she bent low and whispered in his ear "Boo!"

David was so engrossed in finishing the lyrics and wanting to make sure they were perfect that he had not even noticed Elezandra. Several times he would pause, erase and re-write. "Come on....what is the words..." He sighed and growled going deep into his mind trying to picture there what he wanted to express in the story. It had to be perfect and nothing more. A story was never told by him if it was not perfect and flawless. Without even looking he grabbed his glass and drank setting the glass down never taking his eyes off the paper.
In all of this he did not even look up to notice Mary as well due to being so deep into his mind. The mirror of the creature every night that same creature of this story, him himself had to be told even if he would never show the world. As soon as he heard the word in his ear David literally jumped straight out of his chair and turned around quickly and his eyes locked straight to Mary and thank god it was her and not some other vampire because that would have been a bad scene for any vampire to sneak up on him when he was that deep in thought and composing.
Slowly he calmed the nerves and sighed. "Lady Del Belmonte." He whispers as his eyes fall back to the uncovered paper now. His mind racing the lyrics out in the open at this very moment.

Maria smiled at his reaction. It was exactly how she intended. She liked to have others off balance around her. She lent in close, trying to read over his shoulder. It looked like poetry, but with so many scrathing and scribblings she couldn't make it out. Instead of trying further, she moved to sit opposite him.
"Good evening, Mr Alexander. I hope I find you well?" She set her drink on the table between them, cradling it with both hands, turning it slowly between her palms as she watched him.
She seemed to have a great desire to be elsewhere, but had taken the time to notice him, and come and say hello.

It took a moment but David finally fully relaxed as Mary had sat down across from him and then he glanced up finally noticing Elezandra and the looked back to Mary as he sat back down and taking a drink of his glass. "Good evening Lady Del Belmote. I am well as can be and I hope the night finds you well as well." There was definitely a difference that could be seen in his eyes then from the last time they had spoken. He looked to the paper in front of him and sighed flipping it over and looking back to her.
"Need some inspiration and a quiet place to compose. My band mates were well being themselves." He spoke truthfuly. "You were indeed correct about Elezandra. After speaking with her during my last visit I find myself....understanding a lot of things to include that I am no longer the man I was and well a muse if you will for I have been writing non stop."
"May I ask a unique question to you since I have not had a lot dealings with the sabbat? If.....if something was written lets say that could....cause an heretical act to the masquerade. How would the Sabbat respond?"

Mary allows him to ramble, emptying his mind of thought. He had something to ask, she could tell. When he finally got around to the question of the zmasquerade, and the Sabbat, she knew he was finally there.
"So..." she muses. "If, say, something written," she glances at his overturned papers, then back to his eyes, "was to get out, and damage the Masquerade .., how would the Sabbat react? Is that your question?"
She smiles at him, almost knowingly.

David knew what would happen if the Camarilla ever got there claws on any of his originals and thus the reason of his archives hidden below his home and with them sealed behind a magnetic sealed door requiring a password. David did glance at the papers when Mary did and then locked his eyes to hers as she looked at him. "Yes that is my question. I already know what would happen if the other side were to get a hold of this." He spoke straight forward to her.
"And the question may have multiple meanings as well but right now I need to know your sect's views." Definitely a different vampire sat across from her.

Mary nods. She knows what the Camarilla would do, too. More than once in her unlife she had deliberately broken the Masquerade in a Camarilla city, to distract their officials while a raid took place. It was fun, risky. She would never do the same in a Sabbat held city, though.
"that would depend on the breech, and where it took place. Our law is more simple. All Sabbat must put the good of the sect before our individual need or want. So, if your breech were to become a risk to us, we would act."
She looks at him with a serious expression.
"Why? Do you feel like you might have done something we would object to?"

David slid the papers over in front of him and flipped it over again reading his lyrics/story quietly. "Done something...no." Speaking in a cold voice. "Do I plan to anything to endanger anyone of us...no." He flipped the papers over again and looked back to her and brought his hands near his face and cupped them together. "But at the same time I am beginning to feel....different if you will. As though......what you express and Elezandra expressed that holding onto....echoes does nothing." Whispering as he contemplated.
"Now the question lies to me of more what to do with my immortality. What is my purpose and where do I belong truly." Indeed this conversation had taken a different turn.
"Just know this...." Placing his hand on the overturned papers. "And others like this will never be seen and locked away as more of allowing me to remember said echoes when I choose to." David took a drink and thought for a moment.
"Allow me to hear your offer of your sect?" David's cold eyes locked immediately to her. He was wondering about Sabbat maybe not to join but he has had hardly any dealings with the sect.

Mary listens to him. She takes in every word, nodding now and then. When he gets to his final question, one eyebrow raises.
"What do you have to offer US, Mr Alexander? We are not in the habit of proselytising. We often embrace at random, and our methods are far from compassionate. Why would we want you?"

David lowered his hands now and never took his eyes off of Mary. "For one I am unique. You know what...well my bloodline is so to have a rarity would be interesting to sweeten." David never smiled or any of the sort. This was a very serious conversation. He already received a offering of sorts from the other side nothing solid but still. "I can easily provide enough sustenance for your side with ease. My concerts are always sold out and spilling out into the streets of New York. Of course with what I am I would have to hide it for reasons but there it is."
Shifting a bit he continued. "I also have a way of inspiring the masses and turning them to what I want them to do. And finally I know this city well enough in the entertainment arenas that ones choosing to establish either foot holds or to get others what they want from said areas it would be for me to get said agreements and such for them." He was speaking truthfully.
"Call this weighing my options. I would not say that I have received a offering from the opposite side of the coin but enough interest has been show because of my skills." David now leaned forward. "Something to think about what I can bring to the table. If I was to receive an offer of course it would be an offer that I would have to think on."

She listens, as he lays it all out ... about what he's good for, what he can provide ...
"We're not so much in the habit of making offers. Generally we decide, and, well, the recipient accepts. There is no table when dealing with the Sabbat." She pauses, examining his expression, looking for a hint behind his eyes of what he may be hinting or feeling.
"How old are you, Mr Alexander? How is it that, since you seem interested in joining one side or the other, that you haven't yet made a choice?" She sipped from her drink, playing with the rim with a finger idly, as if thinking.
"The Sabbat do not care how unique you are. We care about how loyal you will be, and how fiercely you will fight in battle. Will you fight, Mr Alexander? Will you put your uniqueness on the line with your fellow cainites, and strive to vanquish the enemies of the Sword?"
He starts to answer, but she puts her hand up for him to pause.
"There was a time when the Sabbat held New York, with little or no real interference from the Camarilla. And, at that time, the Camarilla held London with similar strength. Since the second wizarding war, things have been a little different, but we still war for territory, war for what we believe. We believe the Camarilla are pawns of the Antedeluvians, who will one day rise to destroy us all. The Camarilla believe we are bloodthirsty savages. What do you believe, Mr Alexander?"

David listened with the fullest intent of everything that Mary was saying to him taking it all in for memory to make a proper judgement when it was time to. His eyes would show cold but soaking in all the information as since this was the very first time hearing all of this due to his sire not being around him long enough to explain their world.
Leaning forward he never took his eyes off of her. "I am almost 300 years Lady Del Belmonte. As to your question why I have not made a choice earlier on that is due to me sleeping for a lot of years. A shipwreck washed up in the night upon an island and making the decision to bury myself deep within the island and sleep until way later in history." David spoke truthfully to her. When he was about to answer again he noticed her raised hand and remained quiet and listened to what she had to speak to him about.
"One side believes the other to be bloodthirsty savages and the other to be pawns." His voice but a cold whisper. "So what you are telling me this war is over ideology. Thus what do they say now....history repeats itself." He remained quiet now processing everything she had said to him and rubbed his chin deep in thought. "When I was mortal, alive. My belief was to protect my family and my country thus doing what I did. Now....whatever side I decide I will defend to my death again if I must. I may not understand fully just yet the ideology but I do understand the principle of said statutes for to defend the fellow defenders has always been a driving force behind loyalty Lady Del Belmonte."
He just sat there now still processing. "If I am called to fight know this. Every time I have ever fought knowing my life on the line I still and will always remain on the front line fighting and defending. My voice is not the only weapon I have. The high seas teach you how to survive a true fight.?

"A shipwreck! How interesting! That would put a dent in your years, such a nap. I am glad, though, you have come to the point in your unlife that you wish to make commitments. Whatever they be, in this place we can still be.... well, perhaps not friends, it civil at the least."
She sits back, regards him for a moment, still playing with her glass.
"Not ideology, survival. We have seen the future. The time will come when the antedeluvisns ... those who are the progenitors of our clans ... will rise from their torpor, and we will be their prey. The Csmarilla refuse to see this, refuse to teach their young of this threat, they believe us delusional and dangerous and so hunt us ... and we hunt them right back to save ourselves. Over time, who is the hunted and who is the hunter swap. In some places it differs from others. We have no desire to destroy the world, we need it as much as they do. But we will destroy them before they destroy us, to be safe."

David leaned back in his chair and went silent in deep thought once more thinking. "So the progenitors will rise and we their children will become the prey." He coldly whispered and looked to Mary. And yet the Camarilla as you tell me refuse to even....." David rubbed his face. "Amazing...simply amazing. Stagnation or just plain stupidity never wins anything but most importantly not defending the lives of others leads to more and more slaughter."
So basically David choices were one side that would rather be ignorant and pretend the threat does not exist and the other side wanting to prepare, fight and defend against the threat.
"Well......" David looked up to Mary now with a very dark serious look in his eyes. "You let me know if you need agreements or anything of the sort to help your sect get established in New York. As for joining. When we next meet here you will have my answer Lady Del Belmonte. For now consider me a means to get what you need in New York."

She nods, smiling.
"I look forward to your choice. As for New York, I am unlikely to travel there unless necessary. I have no fondness for the new world, and plenty to do here." She smiles. "At least I am not restricted to this place, and my him. I can travel without the need for ships or planes, and risking daylight. Mostly."
Mary was excited by the prospect of not one, but two new recruits. She missed her pack, and liked the idea of having new minds to teach. Even if one wasn't of her own blood. So many rituals to share, skills to pas on. The future looked promising.
"Yes, I do look forward to your choice, Mr Alexander." She raised her glass in a toast, and emptied it.

David raises his glass to Mary as she does and nods in respect finishing his glass and setting it down. "I understand where you are coming from. I never see myself being anywhere else then in New York. It is my home now and it has grown on me." He spoke truthfully. "Even to this very day the thought of traveling by ship stirs an echo of a fondness I once had as a mortal. Perhaps one day I may do just that instead of looking at my old objects to remind me of such echoes." He chuckled.
"Know that I will go to my connections and start establishing and just send who you need to my way and I will arrange what is needed."
For a moment his eyes scanned the room once more as he moved the papers in front of him into a small looking briefcase and looked back to Mary. "As promised you will have my answer the next we meet here. For now I will need to leave soon. I have much to do and a lot of......manipulating to achieve." He smiled with a bit of fang.

"We are all busy ... after our own fashions. I too have other business here. But, you looked ripe for interruption, head down in your papers like that!"
She chuckles.
"Go to your besides, then, and I to mine, and next we meet we shall have some. Let inter sting discussions, I am sure."
Mary stands, nodding to a David.

David stands as well and bows respectfully to Mary. "Indeed we shall Lady Del Belmonte. I look forward to the conversations." With that David turned and headed off back to New York with a lot to plan and put into motion for Mary as he had promised her.

Elezandra was still in the room, up on the balcony. She heard -everything-, but there was no indication that she noticed or even cared. She picks up a goblet from a side table nearest her and sips her drink, watching over the hall. She still appears to be gone somewhere mentally, when in reality she had been listening to them talk and studying the portraits on the wall. One of them in particular seemed the most dear to her, it was of a gentlemen in finery with a beautiful smile. She was tracing every feature of portrait with her eyes.

Mary nods to David, watching him leave. She had little doubt at this time that he would choose the Sabbat. The real question was, did they want him? Was he more of a risk than a benefit? He was handsome, not that it mattered she assured herself. He also had a band of others ,., perhaps he could bring them with him. It was worth making the suggestion. They would be a good first pack for him.
She picked up her glass, looking up to the balcony where Elezandra sat. She raised it in toast, nodding and smiling, then turned to return the empty glass to the bar. Mary owed the other elder a great debt, and wouldn't forget.
There was much to be done. But the Mage child could sleep a little longer. She could wake for the first time under ground, as was appropriate. For now, she was safe.
Mary turned to return to London, and from there, to school.
