It was the first time the Tremere were coming back to Castle Vampyre since the singing and musical performance hosted by Elezandra a couple of months before. So much had happened since then. Rose stepped in, nodding in thanks at Nikolaus who was holding the door for her. She took off the dark red trench coat she'd been wearing, revealing the simple yet elegant dress beneath it. She carressed the red flowers embroidered at her waist. She still remembered when she'd bought this outfit, so many years ago, during a trip in Italy. The Tremere went to sit at one of the tables in the bar area. She remembered David had been sitting at the bar most of the time last time they were together at Castle Vampyre. Logically, that was the first place where he would look for them upon arriving to the Haven. She had been looking forward to this meeting. Yet it had come to a point where she wasn't sure what to expect anymore. She had her suspicions, of course, but she somehow knew that Nikolaus and her were missing a significant piece of the picture. But, logically, everything would be revealed tonight. So she ordered a drink and thought to Nikolaus. 'Aisha didn't specify any particular time. Hopefully David won't keep us waiting for too long.' Then she said out loud: "I believe there will be a total solar eclipse tomorrow night, one that will be visible from Oregon to South Carolina. It should be interesting." and she added using telepathy: 'New Moon nights are supposed to be particularly good for alchemy rituals.' before resuming her speech out loud: "Did you happen to be in France when the total eclipse took place?" ----- @aisha @david @nikolaus

Nikolaus hadn't been here since his last trip here with Rose, either. He wasn't sure if they should bring a gift for Elezandra, but if Rose hadn't brought one, he didn't see a reason to, either. She'd never asked for one before, but, well... for a vampire as old and powerful as her, maybe it wouldn't have been such a bad idea, considering how gracious of a host she's been. As Rose removed her trenchcoat, he took in the sight of her in that dress. It was one she'd had for a long time, and it was one of his favorites. They were in public, so he held his comment. For now, at least. Dressed in a blue and gray suit with a burgundy tie,, Nikolaus followed her to the bar area, and echoed her own order, before taking a seat next to her. 'If they've already returned to Les États-Unis, they're five hours behind us,' he replied in thought. Jetlag affected kindred differently than kine, due to the nature of the Curse of Caine and their sleep patterns based more on the position of the sun rather than general fatigue. They'd have had to carefully time their flight to ensure they landed during the night, preferably on a plane without windows. As for her next question, he nodded. "I was sent to the Los Angeles Chantry in 2006 following the fall of Prince LaCroix. I've seen videos of the Eclipse. I regret that I'll never see one with my own eyes." Moon blocking it or not... sunlight kills most kindred in a matter of seconds.

Suit
David enters with Aisha at his side. Before coming here David prepared Aisha as best as he could about the rules of the castle and how to carry herself while they were in the castle. Then he noticed. Some were looking, really looking at him and Mary's words ringing in his mind knowing those that were watching him and whispering about what they saw with him. Looking around he saw Rose and Nikolaus at the bar and walked over with a smile. His hair a lot shorter than last they saw him. Two glasses were given and David gave one to Aisha as he took a drink. "Good evening to the both of you. My apologies we are late coming. We have been trying to get back into our lives in New York."

Aisha was excited. She was going to the Castle and she was going to be celebrating her first birthday as a vampire. She was dressed to the nines in her newly aquired attire. David surprising her with a gift when they woke. The dress was gorgeous and she loved how it fit. It was perfect for her. She dressed and put on the matching silk shaw. Dress When they arrived at the Castle she was amazed at the entry into the place, but once there the place itself was simply awe inspiring. She was on David's arm walking with him and feeling the nerves he had. Others glanced at him and she seemed kind of put off about it but said notbing. He warned her about this before they arrived. When he spoted Rose and Nikolaus she smiled brightly at them. Somehow though she felt as though Rose might be a bit disappointed in her being here. She said nothing as David handed her a glass of bloodwyne. She looked at it, unsure if she wanted to taste it. She watched David take a sip but she held the glass in her hand. She really preferred the source for now she would just glance at it. "Good evening." she says quietly.

Rose turned around as she heard footsteps coming their way and, sure enough, here was David. With Aisha. In Castle Vampyre. 'Et merde.' Rose was not the kind to swear, even via telepathy and especially not in French. But this time, she just couldn't help it. To her credit, her face remained perfectly impassible, betraying no disappointment or anger.
Luckily for David, the Tremere was so focused on Aisha for now, she practically ignored him altogether. Using Auspex on him was the last thing on her mind right now. And she didn't need to use Auspex on the ex-witch to confirm what she already knew. She looked Aisha in the eye for the longest time, her look still expressing nothing. In the crude light of the bar, Rose's pale skin seemed even paler than usual, making her dark eyeliner and her red lipstick stand out even more. It was as if she'd suddenly turned into a wax model of herself, and yet she and Nikolaus had fed right before coming to the Elysium, like they always did. After a moment, she raised her wyne glass as if to toast.
"Good evening. To the both of you." She said flatly, repeating what David had said, with the faintest hint of irony to her voice. She briefly turned to Nikolaus, before looking at the two other kindred again. "And here I was afraid I'd have to wait for another night to be able to congratulate the two of you on your wedding in person. Clearly this concern was not warranted."
She took a sip of wyne before gracefully setting it back down on the table. "So where in New York City have you decided to settle down, if I may ask?"

Nikolaus could count on one hand the amount of times he'd heard Rose swear. But when he turned to face the two, he could see why. Not even ghouls could come here. That proved it: Aisha had been embraced, and Rose had been deprived of her research partner.
He'd felt unnerved the moment they approached, but he just figured it was due to seeing Aisha here. He'd suspected this from the moment Rose's Scrying attempt had failed. Maybe he was unnerved because he knew Rose was angry?
He could hear the bitterness and double-entendre in her words, as he held up his own glass. "Félicitations pour votre mariage," he answered, echoing Rose. "So pleased to see that even a kidnapping by armed pirates can't come between love." It held the same sardonic tone as his previous congratulations to David on his speedy recovery following his 'accident.'
He didn't use Auspex right then and there, either. He was more than distracted enough by Aisha's presence. Here's hoping that Elezandra wouldn't, if she was to come greet them.

Aisha smiled brightly but the smile changed to a polite one as the two greeted her and David. She couldn't tell from Rose's looks that she was off but the flat tone said enough. She knew that Rose had wanted her to keep her magic, to work on things with her to go places further along her path before choosing this but what was done was done and Aisha wasn't upset about the choices ahe made.
Sure, she mussed her falcon and she missed her magic but she had something new to learn and discover and another world was opened to her. She drank a sip of the bloodwyne and her eyes opened with a bit of shock at the taste. It was delicious. She wonder what they did to it. Something to address later.
"Thank you both." She says. "I think it best though that we talk in a private chamber but firs please forgive me for not coming to a friend when needed. There were so many circumstances that I would like to discuss if you have the time." she is still holding David's arm as they stand there. She hoped the woman wouldn't hold any ill will towards here.
She had been warned about Rose's sect not getting along well with the Sabbot but what's done is done. She hoped that she could prove the other's wrong that Rose and her could still have a friendship of sorts. Only time would tell though and with what David had done, she knew it would but wedges there.
At least that is what she was told. She really hoped that other than her and David sharing the story that she heraelf could learn of the Camarilla's history. Find their point of views and hopefully make sense of what she was told.

Rose's words and the way she was looking and really focusing on Aisha he could tell Rose was not happy about this and right at the moment they were speaking with Aisha and he kept quiet and drinking his bloodwyne.
David continue to casually observe around them until he heard Rose's question.
"Park Avenue, Gramercy Square near Central Park."

Rose noted that neither Aisha nor David seemed surprised that they knew they were already married. Maybe they thought Jillian had told them, which she did. Whatever the case, that worked perfectly for Rose. That meant she didn't have to tell Aisha about the Scrying.
The Tremere listened to the other woman's words. Aisha was willing to explain how all that had happened and why Rose and Nikolaus had been kept in the dark all that time. Why would she say 'no'? She had initially agreed on meeting with David for that very reason, after all.
Rose nodded and stood up, taking her glass with her. "Sure. There's no artistic performance scheduled for tonight anyway." She answered, glancing at David, knowing he would get what she was referring to.
She started climbing up the stairs. "That sounds lovely." She said in regard to their new residence. "I've always thought that if I ever was to live in New York City, it would be near Central Park."
That was one of the reasons why Rose had been picked at the London Chantry Regent. No matter what her inner 'feelings' or echoes thereof were, Rose was able to remain 'professional' and make conversation as if nothing happened.

As Rose got up, he did too. He would let the two women lead the way. He turned back to David. He had been oddly quiet, not texting either of them since the news broke. For Aisha, at least, it made sense; few wizards used muggle means of communications, like smart phone. But David... Then again, Aisha had been doing most of the texting lately. The reason why seemed obvious now...
Nikolaus still felt odd, speaking to him. Nervous, for some strange reason; Rose didn't seem to be, but maybe it was because she was still a bit sore about what they'd just found out. That was understandable. But David was still fidgeting, glancing around at everyone else. Come to think of it, he'd had a few odd looks from others present before, but Nikolaus had thought that was only because he was a celebrity. Tonight, however...
The Alsacian waited until they'd reached a private room to speak up.
"Aisha dit vrai," Nikolaus replied. "As pleasant as it to see her in a place where kine cannot set foot, we heard nothing from you during your 'kidnapping.' In light of what Jillian had confirmed to us, we were genuinely surprised that we weren't at least informed of what had happened."

David remained quiet as the four if them moved from the bar upstairs to a private room. His eyes the entire time watching the other vampires who were watching him.
"I am sad that there will not be one tonight." He whispers as he stays as Aisha's side.
Once inside the room and the door closed he takes a seat at least relieved for the moment that the prying eyes of the elysium were not on him.
"I take full blame for not letting you both know. Things got very chaotic as soon as my sire brought us into port and one thing led to another. The surgeries I had to endure were very brutal and took up much of my time after everything. Having my face changed back, titanium removed from my ribcage, and poly carbon fibers from my muscles. I was awake the entire time." He forced a sigh. "Even had surgery to correct my voice." He nods.

Aisha walked with the three of them and waited as well to speak. She sat next to David and when he finished speaking so looked to both of Tremere though she was looking to Rose when she began to add her points.
"Well David had no way of contacting anyone. Rene took him from our honeymoom suite back in Saint Malo. Beautiful city." She added. "When Rene arrived he used his power on David." she doesn't loose eye contact as she tells the tale of that night im Saint Malo. Of David using the bond to send her off, telling her to come to Rose, her reason's of why she couldn't, the three days after he was taken. Her flying the coast lines of the French and English countries, the channels. Her even going to the states to search him out. The pain she went through. She didn't leave a single detail out. She wasn't going to lie, there was no reason to do so. She brought up the vitae, the bites, everything that added to cloud her mind from things. Going with Quinn's ideas. The text she got from Rene trying to pretend to be David. The phone call from David, his voice having changed.
The retelling of the story was quite emotional for Aisha, the memories of the ordeal and she pulled out a handkerchief and wiped the blood tears from her eyes trying to force a smile. "When Jillian popped up, I was angry. I still am at her. She used her means of contacting people to get the scoop instead of staying out of it. I had to coax her with this tour just to get her to think of her own safety for once. Even a fan girl should think of herself first not of some random person of her supposed favorite band." she rolled her eyes at that comment. "She has no concern for her own safety. Her curiosity is dangerous for one who is still but a child." she moved on in her story.
Telling of the night that she had found David. The escape and then finally catching up to her embrace and the surgeries themselves. She of course didn't go into as much detail as he did. She much rather forget that part. She sipped her bloodwyne and finally broke eye contact with Rose to glance to Nikolaus then back to David.
"His hands were quite full either helping me or being under the knife. I didn't have your number and he had lost his at the bottom of the ocean. I'm glad that you did reach out with the owl. On another note, I presume the paper or Jillian told you of our marriage? I would be surprised if she did, she has no respect for me as David's wife. But she also doesn't know that I have been embraced either. I've not told anyone outside of those that are already Kindred and I would prefer it kept that way. Jillian will find out in due time." A hint of a smirk on her lips but quickly wiped away.
She forced a breathe and sat back finally after telling the tale. She didn't mention what David did to Rene and she hasn't mentioned anything yet about the history, she wondered if there would be time for that tonight or not.

Rose knew better than to interrupt Aisha while she was telling that story. It was obvious that the memories were still too fresh for the newly embraced Kindred not to feel emotional about it. The Tremere Regent's expression, however, remained impassible the whole time. Only once did Rose shake her head in slight disappointment. It was when Aisha mentioned David telling her to come to Rose and then tried to explain why she had thought it was a better idea to do the exact opposite and go see Mary instead. The blonde had to wonder how different the outcome of this story could have been if only she'd listened to her husband. But she didn't say it out loud and she had no intention of even bringing it up. Why would she have? If there was one thing even Kindred couldn't do, it was change the past.
As Aisha eventually sat back, Rose spoke up. "Jillian mentioned you might be mad at her because she didn't congratulate you for getting married with David." It was the truth, not the entire truth because the Tremere knew about the wedding before Jillian came to visit them the second time. But now that Aisha and David had strengthened their ties with the Sabbat instead of severing them as they'd suggested they would, Rose was less inclined to tell them about the ritual she had used. She couldn't use the feather the witch had given her to perform scrying anyway. She intended on keeping the feather, though, as a memento of sorts. "Jillian is a very honest girl, maybe too blunt at times, but it's still far from being a bad thing. And considering how chivalrously David saved her life, it was to be expected that, the minute she got worried about David's fate, she would not stay out of it." Something in her tone suggested that Aisha, as her teacher, should have seen it coming. "Offering her a tour with her favorite band was a smart move, though. She certainly sounded excited about that." She paused, looking Aisha in the eye, seriously. "That's your prerogative to decide who you want to tell. Jillian won't learn about your change from me or Nikolaus."
Rose pondered something a moment, staring at the wyne swirling in her glass, before looking up at Aisha. "That witch you mentioned, Quinn, was it? Is it the one the newspapers talked about recently?" And, more importantly, could she be the woman the Tremere saw with Aisha in that park when she used Scrying? For some reason, the newspapers didn't contain any picture of the witch. So Rose couldn't be sure.
She then turned to David. "Sorry for the loss of your phone, then." The fact that she didn't add 'And for the loss of your Sire' would be enough to tell the Son of Discord that the Tremere had yet to use Auspex to read his aura. "You both had an eventful summer, indeed. I'm glad you managed to get through it together, even without our help. Though, it seems pretty clear to me now that your... family has no intention of letting you two emancipate yourselves any time soon. If I may ask, are there still parts of this story that are currently unresolved? Some loose ends that you still have to take care of?"

Nikolaus listened quietly, doing his best not to show any sort of reaction. It wasn't easy; not only did Aisha make it impossible for her to assist with Rose's research as she had let her believe she would by becoming embraced, she had also waited until now to tell them what had happened, and she had gone to the Sabbat instead of them. It seemed obvious she now intended for her and David to stay with them. He had to refrain from sneering at the thought. And after all of that, the only thing she was worried about was if Jillian would find out? ...It had to be a joke.
Nikolaus was actually about to scan Aisha's aura, which, due to her proximity to David's, would have allowed him to see his, as well. But he was interrupted when he heard Rose's voice, causing him to visibly relax. He couldn't believe they were still expecting him and Rose to continue to trust the two of them. 'Reasons' or not, promises were broken. Nikolaus would not be forgetting that anytime soon.
"You will have ample opportunity to tell Jillian yourself," Nikolaus replied. "While you were gallivanting about with the Sabbat, perhaps you'll be pleased to hear that we have kept our end of the bargain, particularly when it comes to her. So hopefully, when she is in your charge, we can expect to be appraised of her well-being, without delay."
Nikolaus stopped before saying more, and turned to Rose. He knew he was overreaching in terms of rank, but he did not appreciate what he heard in Aisha's story. And if they were going to talk about Jillian, who was now his Regent's charge, he wanted them to know they would not be as forgiving a second time if the two failed to reconsider their priorities.

Davud rubbed his face and glared right at Nikolaus. "Can we cut the sect crap out." He hissed and then leaned forcing a sigh. "So what she went to my sect. Last I checked here the four of us are right here as friends or am I mistaken?"
Yes they were camarilla and yes David and Aisha were sabbat. But that did not mean a damn thing right now.
"So apologies she did not come to you. She already feels bad enough about it. As far as Jillian goes she will always be safe with us. Now can we get passed all of this or are we all wasting our time."
The one thing he learned during what recently happened was never to take things for granted anymore.

Aisha didn't say anything after David spoke. She honestly wasn't sure what to say. She felt horrible and the happiness of meeting them and catching up seemed to drain from her eyes. She didn't mean to offend anyone. She closed her eyes a moment and words rang out in her mind from Mary and Exo about this never going anywhere because she was embraced in front of Sabbat by a Sabbat. She would become Sabbat because if she didn't David and her would most likely be hunted and killed. There was no other choice here.
When she opened her eyes again she looked at Rose. "I was coming here to celebrate as well as explain myself. I wanted your input, you history for your sect, but it seems that is a mute point if nothing else. I was told one history and wanted to know the other before a choice was made. I am not Sabbat. Not yet. David knows this and the rest know this. It is still my choice here. Regardless it seems there is no choice if there is no friendship here." she felt horrible.
This was suppose to be a grand night. It was after all the last time she would celebrate her mortal birthday as she know had a new one. She looked to David and then back to the other two. She didn't know what else to say.

Rose had tried to keep her tone and her dialogue carefully neutral. Nikolaus, however, clearly hadn’t been able to hide his disappointment that well. The Tremere lay a hand on top of his arm, both to appease him and to ask him to keep quiet now. He had said what was on his mind but if he kept on, there would be no going back.
The Tremere looked at David, studying him for a bit before turning to Aisha. Were they really that innocent? They genuinely believed that friendship between them was still possible? That the sects they respectively belonged to didn't matter?
The Regent would have laughed at anyone else trying to persuade her of that. But she was starting to get to know the two people in front of her. And she didn't even need Auspex anymore to tell they were not trying to lead them on. Whatever had happened, whatever the Sabbat had in mind for them, David and Aisha were still trying to do right by Rose and Nikolaus.
Rose sighed. This was exactly why she normally tried to avoid friendship with Sabbat members. It could get really complicated really fast. But since that bridge had already been crossed…
"You have to realize that this kind of friendship is usually avoided for a reason. Because the views of our respective sects differ on many subjects. Now if we hadn't thought it could work," the blonde paused, locking her hazel eyes with David’s, "we wouldn't have accepted it in the first place. But even friends can occasionally be disappointed in each other. Is it that surprising that we’re a little upset by the story we've just been told?"
If they didn't care about them, the Tremere would not have reacted at all. Neither to what happened to David or to what Aisha was about to face due to her new existence. She turned to Aisha, her expression softening, if only barely and her eyes showed genuine concern.
"I'm terribly sorry for what happened to you, for what you both had to go through. I understand everything happened fast and that sometimes decisions have to be made sooner than we would have wished for them to be."
The fact that Aisha insisted on the fact that she still had the choice to join the Sabbat surprised Rose. Since when did the Sabbat give newly embraced Kindred a choice? The only explanation the Tremere could think of is that Aisha hadn't yet partaken in the Vaulderie. But even that degree of freedom was unexpected. Nonetheless, it had the immediate effect of having Rose visibly relax a bit.
"That said… I am glad to see you again and find you both well."
She raised her glass, glancing at Nikolaus so that he would do the same.
"Let's celebrate, then."

Nikolaus sighed, despite the need to even breathe, and tried to force himself to calm down. Rose had spoken and even if she was being too forgiving in his opinion, after all this time, he'd be a fool not to trust her judgment. Maybe there was an angle she was working, here; it was true that David and Aisha were still, on their own volition, wanting to be friends with them, and Nikolaus could tell it was in good faith, despite their affiliation with the Sabbat. No doubt that could be useful. Maybe that's why Rose was willing to look the other way, when relationships within the Camarilla had been ruined for less.
Something about Aisha's story felt odd, though. What happened to Rene? Surely, the Sabbat would have killed him; David may not be a part of Last Rites, but Last Rites is no ordinary Sabbat pack. But Aisha neglected to mention his fate. If he had truly been responsible for all of that, knowing how much contempt Aisha had for Jillian just for being a fangirl, someone who had harmed both herself and David and literally came between the two of them should have had an entire song written by Aisha about how much he screamed when he died, and David should be on stage right now singing it. Instead, she had chosen to omit his fate entirely.
But he wouldn't have long to ponder that thought. "Oui," Nikolaus replied, all traces of hostility gone from his voice as he raised his own glass. Rose was his Regent, and she seemed to believe this could work. He would trust her unconditionally, just as he always had. "Let us celebrate."

David was relieved. Honestly when it came to Rose and Nikolaus he hated speaking about sect business. Truly he saw them as dear friends and be damned sect politics.
He raises he glass and nids in deep respect to all of them and takes a drink. He pondered the taste a moment. It was good, flavorful but....ever since the diablerie blood had not tasted right to him.
"So....this coming tour will be our last. Afterwards I plan to retire and spend my time fully with Aisha. I would love for both you and Nikolaus to come to the final concert in New York." He spoke to Rose.
"Would you both be interested? Aisha and I could even give you a tour of the city."

Aisha's smile was barely there as she raised her glass with them and drank. "I appreciate the sentiment but truly it isn't needed. It was my fault for not getting in contact sooner. I do appreciate the fact that you are accepting of my apology." she crossed her right leg over her left and relaxed a bit.
"I do still have plenty of research notes by the way Rose. I kept them all as I began to start writing out theory and ideas. If you ever still want someone to work through the ideas. I am still willing even if I do not have magic. I am sure there is someone out there we could bring into the fold that does posses the magic so that one day it could lead to experimentation. Having more minds to work never hurt." she said with a smile.
She really wanted to get passed this barrier between them, the sects and now she had another question but she wondered if it was the appropriate time or not. She puzzled over a few things. First she wondered if either of them couod read his aura and if they had, why didn't they react the way Exo and Mary told her they would? Or maybe they hadn't yet? Would David tell them? Would they try to kill him? It was only fitting to see the man that sired him die after first ripping away his mortal life and then again trying to do the same some two hundred years later.
"Would you mind terribly if I asked some questions in regards to the Camarilla and their history?" she sipped her wyne agian. She really did love this stuff. She needed to find out if it could be boxed and shipped.

No, neither Rose nor Nikolaus had yet used Auspex on them. And that was something to be thankful for because it would have been harder for them to appeal to the Tremere's friendship while they'd have been staring at a diablerist. This would show Aisha that this Discipline of theirs was not a passive ability. They had to consciously use it for it to work.
"What's the date of your final concert?" Rose asked David. The upcoming weeks were going to be quite busy for the Tremere so she didn't know if she'd have time to make this last minute invitation fit in her schedule. A tour of the city sounded nice, though. So, if not then, they could always postpone it to another time.
Rose turned to Aisha when she mentioned her research notes and the possibility for them to still work together. "I'd be interested in reading your notes, Aisha, you know that. And yes, I guess there are plenty of things two Kindred from different clans can experiment on together." She hoped the other woman would notice the fact that she used 'clan' and not 'sect'. She was making a genuine effort. "We could even sign a contract to ensure the confidentiality of our results." She meant a blood contract, of course. The Tremere wasn't opposed to conduct experiments with a Sabbat member as long as it was Aisha. Still she had to protect Tremere secrets first and foremost. That was her duty as Tremere and as Regent. She didn't answer the part about bringing a wizard into their research group. She wasn't opposed to the idea but she would be very picky about who they'd choose. Time would tell.
"Nikolaus is even more knowledgeable on the subject than I am," the Regent replied, glancing at her right hand, while taking a sip of wyne herself. She couldn't noticed the way Aisha seemed to enjoy the wyne as if it was liquid gold. She didn't make any comment but it clearly showed that the newly embraced Kindred was addicted to blood. Leaving her around Kine right now probably wouldn't be a good idea.
