The last few weeks had been chaotic. Between coming back from Germany, hanging out with Mary- Research on the coin and Raven, getting her books and needed items for school, even the emotions from Dristan had been thrown into the mix.
Lili had only heard that something had happened, leaving Dristan and Teagan apart. She wasn't sure what was going on, but something felt off. More so then just them fighting and her taking off like last time. Something in what Dristan was feeling....or Not...She couldn't tell was throwing her off.
With Raven close in tow Lili made her way to the Adamson Estate to check on her cousin. She was dressed casually in a jean skirt, t-shirt and converse shoes. Hair pulled up into some sort of messy bun. Entering into the door she smiled to Elijah. "Hey. I was actually here to check on Dristan..."
Elijah nods, though she older gentlemen wasn't exactly sure where the master had gone. "Feel free to look around for him Lili. My guesses would be his office as that's where he has been lately."
The girl nods walking in fully and walking towards the office to check their first.

She had found her cousin in his chair behind his desk buried into the family's finances. After hearing her enter he glances up and for the briefest moment one could swear there was a black hint if smoke to his eyes.
"Hey.....how are Lili? He whispers with no hint of emotion as he looks to the finances once more.
It was like he was numb to everything around him at the moment.

Lili walks into the room, leaving Raven outside to romp and socialize with Lady and Baron. She shuts the door and walk up to the desk.
"I should ask you the same thing" She whispered. "I only got a quick fill in of 'something' happened. You've been going awol all week and then nothing" She stands in front of the desk just watching him. "Whats going on? You're completely shut off..."

"Gone awol? I have been here the entire time taking care of family issues." He speaks directly to Lili.
"Shut off? You could say that yes but when you have to bury two of yourchildren it is agony I never wish upon you."
He looks back down to what he was doing and slides several folders to her. "They require you signature.

"It's not that Awol is a bad thing Dristan. I just meant emotionally you were at least feeling something. And then suddenly It was gone" at the mention of the burying of children she fell silent. "Dristan...I'm so sorry" She whispered. "I only got a brief outline of something happened and she...." she bit her lip hard.
She steps up looking down at several of the folders and looks over them. She signs each of them after reading and slides them back.

"Spell. I am using a spell right now so that I can focus when I am not around others. It is normally gone by the time anyone comes around." Dristan spoke bluntly moving more files to her for her signature.
"Feel up for a trip to Cambridge about our demon issue? Mary gave me an idea to look into. We need to check the family cemetary."

"Is that Healthy? I mean to completely shut off your emotions?" She looked up at him ignoring the files for a brief moment. "I worry about you ya know." She watches him for a moment and finally looks down to the files and looks them over before signing. She was trying to make it good habit to read before applying her signature.
"Cambridge? Cemetery? What help could be there? The portraits dont really know whats going on, and Sloth herself didn't know anything about it either." She shivered at the last memory of sloth and looked at him. "I mean. I'm here. If you want to go, We can go. I just...I want to know you'll be okay..."

"Well there may be a journal we might have to dig up. Thus looking at old tombstones and trying to see if one stands out."
He slides back the files and gives her more. "Is it healthy? No.. but I need to be able to focus and not wallow in grief. Mattie and Dmitry rely on me to be at my strongest."

She nods to him simply as he explains the emotions, move from file to file to sign.
"Everyone wants to be their best Dristan. But you are allowed to have moments where the strength waivers. Even a brick or cement wall cracks sometimes. Your allowed to go through your emotions and your feelings. Screw what everyone else expects from you"

"The moment my strength waivered I almost did something very stupid. I do not expect you to understand to know what it feels like to lose everything so precious and dear within 24 hours."
He slowly stands now walking around his desk. "This spell is not a want. It is a need right now because I must rely on myself and no one else. To falter would show I am to frail and to weak."

"Your not even willing to show me what is truly going on with you? You shut me out like everyone else!? I'm not everyone else Dristan" She watches him come around the desk.
"I want to help you through this, but you have to let me."

Dristan just stood there as the hint if black smoke in his eyes vanished. The spell had worn out its time. He could feel his emotions returning and she would feel them like a flood even if he was containing them.
"I am not trying to...." He had to take a moment. It was hard to deal with his emotions when the spell wore off.
"I am not trying to do this. I lost my light and I am trying to deal."

Lili felt the wave as the spell rolled off. Everything crashing, and it took a moment to orient herself.
"I know Dristan. Its a hard thing to deal with. I couldn't imagine losing you or Dmitry." She sighs leaning against the desk slightly.
"Is there no way to fix it? Nothing you could possibly do to try and make this up? I can only imagine the things that could have been said out of anger and pain especially the loss of children." She finally levels herself out and reaches out a hand to her cousin reassuringly. "I hate seeing you like this, so broke up. It's part of dealing with it. I understand. If you want to fix this, then you both have to put forth the effort to talk this all out...You at least owe it to each other to try and be friends...at the very least."

Dristan felt Lili's hand on his and sighed. "So many harsh words Lili and I know I scared her." He rubs his face. "I will try but that is all I can promise at this point."
"Okay so lets head to the family cemetary and look for a needle in a haystack. If this does not turn out anything I will not know what else to do."
He grabbed his keys and put on a leather jacket she had never seen before and gotinto the car with her and made the drive to the family estate in cambridge.
After parking he walks with Lili through the headstones and started to look at them trying to find one that either stuck out or had strange markings.

"Trying is at least something" she would leave it at that. She had an explanation from him and she would make it a point to watch over him. Especially at school....she watched him grab his jacket, one she hadn't seen and followe him to the car getting in the passenger seat. Raven was close behind refusing to let the two out of his sight. She laughed popping open the back door and letting him jump in.
"Either he comes now or he follows me like he did to the museum..."
She was quiet most of the way there, and when they had finally parked she pulled herself out of the car and began looking at the stones. Anything strange she made a note. "Okay boy. I'm not sure what we have to look for. But if you see anything strange let me know." She looked to the black fury beast and kept looking through the cemetery for any sign of anything useful.

The family Cemetery was a decent plot of land and the place was obviously built to last. As they looked around, Adamson headstones surrounded them, with a smattering of odd last names for the women who had been married to other families but were laid to rest here. As Dristan and Liliana walk around, however...they will notice something rather odd. Some of the older gravestones are of stone...but also simplistic. It isn't until Dristan comes across the gravestone of his grandfather that he notes a distinct difference. The grave stone is bigger, as if to try and dwarf the generations before it. Made with some marvel inlay. Someone had MONEY to make this. As he looks around, he will notice that though the plot was there and had been there for a long while? The fencing and so on was newer then the first generation of Adamsons. Someone with money had redone the plot of land to make it look as if the family always had money, but the smart observer knew better...

Dristan continues to search the headstones and comes across one that really stuck out. It was definitely the oldest but the fencing around it threw him off....something was not right.
"Lianna.......I may have found something!" He calls out to her and enters the fence to look at the headstone for a name and year on it.
Something about this plot was not right.

Liliana had ventured further into the graveyard before hearing Dristan's voice call out to her. She had looked over all the gravestones, taking note of some of the names. She would have to do her own research more so to learn about all of the family members. She turns making her way through the graveyard careful of the stones and sinking soil beneath her feet.
"What did you find?" She asked walking up to him.

What he found was a headstone with his grandfather's name written on it. Died some 10 years back. But it was...wealthy. Way wealthy. The plot had generations of Adamsons before this man's time...but they were modest, humble. Not this one. This one screamed 'I HAS THE MONEY!'
Otherwise? It's a regular gravesite.

"I do not know yet. Give me a second." Dristan reads the headstone and it is his grandfather and Lili's great uncle. "This is my grandfather's plot." He sighs.
He looks frustrated. Just for giggles he casts a spell to reveal anything hidden just in case.

"Your grandfather.....?" She looks at him as she walks up to where she stands.
"Dristan, this all looks....New... Why is this stone so much larger then the others...?"

Something hidden? Sure. A small light on the side of the headstone appears and outlines...a rectangle? In the stone. It is for sure the 'look at me!' light of the spell as if waiting for someone to interact with it or something.

Dristan tilts his head seeing the outline of a rectangle as though it was begging someone to interact with it. He shows Lili as he crouches down at the headstone.
"Well either this is another dead end or I guess pushbthis rectangle shape and hope we get something."
Without another word he presses against the rectangle shape on the headstone.

Lili walks up to Dristan just as he presses agianst the rectangle. "Lets hope this isnt a dead end" She said softly before placing a gloved hand over his. "At least if it explodes we'll both be effected" She smirks looking at him.
"Its kinda like poking the bear I guess. Lets see what happens...."

Dristan crouches to examine the rectangle before pressing against it. As if it was perfectly normal a small drawer slid out. The inside of it was empty...but something was definitely supposed to be here. A book probably from the size and shape.
Someone had been here before. Looking for the same thing maybe?

Dristan lowers his head as the hidden drawer appears and there is nothing inside. Lili could see Dristan's body shaking right now.
It took him a few moments to calm down and think. He and Lili already checked the family library at his estate so that left....
"Lili can you handle going into my father's study with me?" He looks over his shoulder at her.
"If we find nothing there then...." He stopped talking.

Lili steps back as the drawer openeed, but there was nothing inside...Maybe a book? She stepped back a moment and looked at him in thought. At the mention of going back to the estate and to her Uncles office- she visibly shivers.
She simply nods. "I--I can try." She tried to shut the image out of her head. It wasn't working very well. The image of sloth, and her uncle, the blood on the floor. "We have to figure something out...This getting no where thing...and she's already tried to kill me once.."

It was decided. They both would go together. This had to stop one way or another. Dristan stood making sure Lili was following him as he made their way to his mother's estate within walking distance.
Once they entered the butler shows them both to his father's study and both quietly walk in.
"The book will probably be old and knowing my father he probably has it hidden if it is here."
First place he looked was his father's desk checking all drawers and looking for hidden compartments.

Lili follows him to the estate and stops short just outside the doors of the study. She takes in a shaky breath trying hard to keep herself in check. After a moment she follows inside. The room was cleaned- no sign of the trauma that had occurred there that night. The fire was quelled, dead and the ashes cleaned out. The blood mopped up. She remembered where she fell- Trying to get to her Uncle, She could hear Sloths words as she drained her.
Her eyes close for just a moment before she opened them and started to look through drawers and shelves. Near the globe, and the fire place, anything that seemed to stand out. Even in places that seemed...mundane for a book to be placed.

The demon did it, with its own body, in the study. That's probably something Liliana is thinking about as she looks around the room. The cleaning of the room had gone very well, not a trace of it anywhere. The study was just as Dristan's father had left it, just before he passed.
As Lili moved to look around, Dristan went from drawer to drawer. Papers and miscellaneous things in each and every drawer. He was in the bottom drawer, pulling a couple things out and was probably frustrated when he found nothing and slammed the door shut...and he heard it. Something...hollow...in the drawer. Opening it, he knocks on the bottom...and the hollow sound comes from it again. Pulling it aside, he finds a small black, leather bound journal inside.
