After several days of unusual sightings of Ashwinders by local muggles, last night magical authorities in Belfast finally stumbled upon the well-hidden manor of one Quinn McGriffin, age 46. Known for her eccentricity and hardline stance against the Death Eaters in the late 90's, it seems Lady McGriffin was a hypocritical practitioner of Dark magic herself. Her manor house and its grounds were found completely engulfed in Fiendfyre, which had been burning for long enough to grow to the size of a small hill, and had birthed countless ashwinders. Up to a hundred muggles are believed to have killed or injured as a result of the Ashwinder outbreak, and the cleanup is going to be a logistical nightmare. A representative of the Ministry of Magic in Belfast stated that "The Lady will be remembered only as a dangerously criminal, hypocritical fool. We are well rid of her."
If the Lady somehow survived the Fiendfyre, she will have gone into hiding. She is now a true pariah in Britain and the rest of the magical world. Muggle authorities are resporting the event as a unfortunate chain of wildfires caused by the unparalleled heat waves that have plagued the country this summer.
