When Mary woke the evening of the 26th, plans were afoot. The shipment from Darren had arrived and been accepted by Erskine's current ghoul, and Mary sat right down to learn as much about Rene as she could, before the publicist called at 11:30.
When Exo woke, she enlisted his help reading through everything. There was a lot!
When the call came, Mary left Exo to continue their research, and went to make merry with the news media. The two spent a number of hours discussing what needed to be said, how best to say it. By the time they were done, three hours had passed.
She went back to Exo, mentally tied and hungry, and dragged him out for a couple of hours to hunt.
When they got back, they went right back to the research.
Near dawn, Balthazar returned, with no news, but a whisper for Mary and then he vanished again. She smiled at what the Abyssal had said to her, and whispered it to Exo.
Tomorrow night, she was going to summon something she hadn't in a long time, and Rene could just suffer for his sins.
At dawn, Mary left a sheaf of notes about Rene and David's shared past, their hideouts, their preferred ports, their known associates, for Aisha on her bed, then went back upstairs to Exo's arms to sleep the day.
