"He is yes, though I am not sure he brought it, I think I did that all on my own to be quite honest." She responded as she watched his grey eyes. "Is there something wrong with being a symbol for someone?" She asked him curiously.

"There's responsibility...but no...there isn't anything wrong. I just...I've only known to be me. Not something for someone else. It's...a different kind of feeling to know that people look to you for something significant in their lives, that's all." He sits on the ground and offers her to come sit with him.

She moves and goes to sit at the base of the tree, touching the bark on the trunk with her palm, feeling the wood beneath her fingers before placing her back against it.
"Are we not something significant to our students?" She asked. "I think everyone means something to someone, just depends on how one looks at it I presume."

"For some students...we are role models. Or we are supposed to be. But its...generic. There's something different about being...specific in someone's life. Something more..." He sighs. "Can't really explain it..." He holds up the bracelet. "So what happened with this?"

She nods her understanding of what it seemed like he was trying to say. She guessed if someone saw her as light or life she would feel the same as Ambrose does at the moment. She wasn't quite sure. Something to think about later.
She looked at the bracelet, she hadn't noticed he pulled it out of his pocket. "Girl's night with Teagan and another, Thulile. We were discussing magic and things of the like and I wondered if Thulile could see Teagan, more of a surprise really, so that she could see Teagan. We are all tied up some how with each other in different ways for different things. So we had dinner at my place and just hung out. I hadn't known at the time that it would not work again, that it wouldn't work for Thulile. I only noticed that after the fact."

He nodded and offered her the bracelet. "That's why I said never take it off. Once you disconnect from the magic? That's it. Our magics are different. Very different. Ours sometimes comes with prices." He takes a deep breath and sighs. "I can't fix this bracelet for you. Once it's been used in this way, it cannot be done again with the same item..." He pulls back his robe sleeves and pulls off an identical bracelet. Offering them both to her, he looks into her eyes. "This should work though."

She took the bracelet and watched him, listening to him as he pulled off another identical bracelet. "What is the price?" She said before taking the second one. She couldn't go back with another price to pay to someone else, David had only recently learned that she owed something to the bookshop owners, she wasn't about to have something else to owe to someone else as much as she wanted the bracelet she was hesitant until she knew the answer.

"For this?" He chuckles as he runs a hand through his hair. "I should be bitter and vindictive and tell you the price is a kiss." He shakes his head. "But you know me better...won't force you to do something. So there is no price for this. Your sight was a gift from me. A gift I don't want to take back." He breathed in and slowly let it go.

She took the bracelet and placed it back on her wrist, the other she kept in her hand so as not to confuse the two of them. "You knew I would come didn't you?" She asked looking at the two bracelets and realizing that they were identical in every way she could tell.

"No. I kept a replica. My connection. There was wind in my tree once. I don't like forgetting things. I mean...have you seen my giant book of everything upstairs?" He smiles softly. "One day I knew you would lose the bracelet somehow. Didn't think this soon...but it is what it is."

She laughs softly at the comment about the giant book. "I won't loose this one, I won't remove it either." She looks down at it, she smiles brightly.
"A question before I go." She turned her head to look at him.
"How does the magic effect a Cainite? Will one be able to see with it? Or will it loose it's magic?" She didn't know if the question was to much for the moment, but she also knew that at some point own the line, David and her had already spoken in much detail about the embrace. She knew h gave her a year of teaching before any final decision was made, but the other night had come ever so close to her being drained from his feeding.

"Near as I can tell...it shouldn't lose its magic. But I wouldn't know. Vampires and changelings don't interact very often...if at all. In another place? An adult vampire like Mary would be enough to hurt me with her presence alone. But being around all of the magic and imagination here evens it out. So I am not sure."

She nods her head in a sort of understanding type of way.
"I guess I will find out." She whispers and stands to her feet.
"I do hope you are doing well as can be. I hope that gift of yours brings you joy, even if it reminds you of us. I am sorry that this is the path life took us on." She was speaking softly looking at he leaves again, her mind half wandering to David once more.
"I am not sure when I will see you again. We leave in August for New York. I am picking up the Transfiguration's post at Ilvermorny. It will be easier to see him when I can apparate to him from where the school is verses here."
She looked at him again a smile on her face. "I do wish you would find happiness again." She wants to do something else, a touch? A kiss? She isn't sure but she refrains herself and looks away again. David once more filters in. "I should probably head back home though. Much to do before we go to France."

Ambrose follows to his feet. "Wait...I..." He takes a breath. "Does the singing still echo inside your head? Like...do you get a moment of peace to at least think?" He remembered from the last time they were together at her home.

"It returned." She said as she turned to him again. "Though now, it is a different tune that I hear. One I hope will be replaced when he does sing next." She shifted again. The song in her head wasn't one of happy thoughts, no, and she kept that to herself. She didn't write it down nor did she tell David. She didn't want him to worry about her. The song, the voice, every time it came through, it was a repeat of that night. The one she hoped she would never go through again with him.
The voice was loud now as she tried to pull her thoughts from that night, to think of other things, but it kept drowning out the happier moments. She struggled to breathe for a moment, her hand went to her stomach as she kept herself upright.
She looked at her hand, saw the ring, a smile on her face. She loved David. She stood back up. A smile again, the moment gone as she looked at him. "I think I will be alright." She said with a bright smile as she thought about David once more.

Ambrose watches her. "Aisha...I may not know everything going on...but I know when something is not entirely ok." He flexes his fingers. "I can help. If you'll let me. At least so you can think and piece out whatever needs to be straightened up. I remember last time...and this time seems worse..."

Fear lines her face for a moment as he suggests it. "No!" She stumbled back a few feet. She couldn't do that. He would know, it would hurt, the voice in her head grew louder, it seemed for a moment in her vision that light was fading as the voice grew, her breath short again as she felt like something closing in on her. She had to focus, had to bring herself back.
Her mind reeled in on itself for several moments before she stood straight. "I want the voice, Ambrose. I love him, his voice is apart of me. I do not want it gone from my head." She spoke to him as she looked back up again.

He steps back up against the tree and drops his hand when she cries out. "I'm sorry...i..." He sighs. "You seemed upset and hurting." He reaches up and pats the tree and when he does, the branches move upward to let the world in once more. "I just want you happy. And free to do what you want..."

"I am happy Ambrose." She smiles at him. She wasn't aware of his reaction, it didn't seem to register with her as she stepped out from behind the branches. "I don't know that I am free, I have made choices, that have started things, things I must see through. I have no choice in that anymore, it is my punishment to bare. But I am happy." She turned to look at him as she moved passed the trees looking to the sky.
"I hope you find happiness again Ambrose. I really do." She smiled brightly at him, her thoughts on David, she wanted to go home, be with him, make their plans for their trip. Help him with his sire issue. She just wanted to be near him.

Ambrose watches her go. "You're going to fly...before you do? Put on the bracelet. Make sure you can see a Dryad again." He doesn't move from against the tree, just watches her go. She was leaving again. He had to watch her go for good once more. He kept his emotions in check as he watched her go.

Aisha turns back and smiles at him, the bracelet on her wrist. "I already put it on beautiful tree." She smiled at him, she had put it on the second he gave it to her.
"You are a beautiful Dryad, Ambrose. Both sides of you are beautiful." She shifted and turned into her falcon, flying up into the skies once more, she would probably never see the school again. She took one last flight around the grounds. This was where she became who she was, the years of learning, the second wizarding war ended here, so much history.
Now she was onto a new path, a brighter tomorrow and as she soared away she couldn't wait to get back home to her Siren.

Ambrose watches her go, a tear falling down his face. Would he be happy? He wasn't sure if he could find any. He was so used to losing. A lot of losing. He gets up and melds into the tree. He didn't want to see anything for awhile. He was going to sleep.
