Using the private and top secret channel she was given to contact the Ministry of Magic upon opening her Chantry in Knockturn Alley, Rose sends the following message. It is addressed to the secretary of the Honorable Hermione Granger-Weasley, Minister of Magic.

My right hand, Nikolaus Oberlin, and I, Rose Belmont, Tremere Regent of the London Chantry are requesting a meeting in person with one of the representatives of the Ministry of Magic who has access to the archives of the Second Wizarding War in regard to an important matter to Clan Tremere.

We are investigating the identity of the vampires who died or disappeared during the last Wizarding War since several members of our Clan are believed to be among them.

I would really appreciate your help with that delicate issue.

In closing, please let me know when would be a convenient time for us to come retrieve a copy of those files and expect us as soon as the sun sets.

A reply makes its way back through the channel three days later:

Regent Belmont,

We thank you for your letter, unfortunately at this time we are unable to provide copies of the records regarding the Second Wizarding War.

If you are willing to provide a list of individuals you suspect were involved we may be able to confirm if their names are listed among the records. We will of course do our utmost to ensure the confidentiality of any information you provide.

I hope that you find this acceptable. If not then I can arrange a meeting for you with a representative to discuss matters further.

A few days later, Rose's answer is delivered to the Ministry through the same channel as before.

Dear Mr. Wallen,

Please find enclosed the list of the names of the members of our Clan who have gone missing. While I do understand it is not possible for you to provide me of a copy of your records and while I appreciate the help with which you're providing me, I would be very grateful if you could arrange a meeting with a representative.

There are, indeed, certain matters pertaining to this very topic that I'd prefer to address in person rather than through mail correspondance.

The upcoming week would be perfect for me and Mr. Oberlin if you happen to still have any availabilities.

I'm looking forward to your answer.

The list you provided has been passed on to the relevant offices and an appointment has been made as requested.

If you and Mr. Oberlin could present yourself to the security desk located in the atrium of the Ministy of Magic Headquarters no more than an hour after sunset this coming thursday they will gladly escort you to meet with a representative.
