Ambrose arrived a little early so that he could grab a secluded table. Sitting down and ordering Butterbeer for himself and Aisha, he waited, rubbing his eyes gently as he did. Shaggy black hair was a bit on the wild side today and while he seemed relaxed in his street clothes covered by a grey cloak, he was most definitely in deep thought. The last time they had met, a lot of things happened. He had called her a liar in not so many words and while he hadn't meant to, he had hurt her. So at the very least? He was going to do his best to make amends.
Hopefully, she still wanted to talk to him...

Aisha wasn't normally late to anything yet today she was not just late, but fashionably so. Her hair was up and she was wearing a tank top and a pair of jeans and her flats made no sound as she walked into the door of the Three Broomsticks. She spotted Ambrose off to the side and she made her way over grabbing the seat across from him.
She sat down and looked up at him. "Afternoon Ambrose. I hope you are well." She eyes the two glasses of Butterbeer and when the waitress come over she ordered herself some wine.

Ambrose smiled softly as she sat, though that greeting seemed...polite...
Ambrose let it go. "Hello Aisha...good to see you." He gestured towards the glasses. "I wasn't sure, but everyone I know around Hogwarts swears by the Butterbeer here, so I thought you would like it." Great, already messing up. Ambrose ran a hand through his hair as he looked at her. She looked amazing and he wanted to reach over and at least take her hand...but for now, he waited.
"How have you been?"

The waitress came back with the glass of wine and Aisha smiled and thanked her. "I enjoy a Butterbeer like everyone else, but I have had a taste for wine lately." She took a sip. Bitter, not as sweet as she wanted but it would work. "You look stressed dear. I am glad you sent that owl. I was worried you wouldn't want to see me after the way things were left on Saturday."
She tapped the glass side softly and looked from the bracelet up into his grey eyes.

He shakes his head. "Of course I wanted to see you. I wanted to come back an hour later, the next day...but you needed time and space so..." He took a deep breath and let it out slow. "I just wanted to respect your desires. But yes...I wanted to see you..."

"I did thank you for that and thank you again so much for helping with that voice in my head. You have no idea how much that meant to me." She smiles at Ambrose. "Anything new going on?" She asked as the waitress came over and took their orders. She ordered a salad and waited for the waitress to take Ambrose's order and the leave them alone.

Ambrose didn't order anything as he wasn't hungry. "Nothing really. Been taking it easy for the moment. My people don't need me and Hogwarts is quiet, so thing days are me and my book, walking the forest and...seeing you..." He smiles softly.

Aisha watched as the waitress walked off. "Summer, school is normally quiet during holiday." She sipped her tea. "Curious question." She was skirting around the issues she felt were at hand. "Is Teagan, Dristan Adamson's fiance one of you?" She was curious as David had mentioned that the fae from the concert was there in the alley with Dane and she still remembered the way she looked after the concert as well when she was at Dristan's home.
The first time she had really looked at her. "I only ask, because David, mentioned that there was a fae near his place, the one at the concert with me. Only Teagan was there plus after the concert she looked different. Not like you though."

Ambrose nods. "Teagan. Good person. A little...different. Her dream is different then mine. I am Dryad, and if you ever speak with her about me, she will call me Tree Man." He is quiet for a long moment before sipping at the butterbeer. "We're avoiding the subject...aren't we..." he says quietly, looking into his glass.

She nods her head in understanding about the differences between Teagan and him. "I guess I kind of am." she sighs and takea another sip of her wine.
"I don't want to label this. What we have. I would like to keep this friendship we have." She knew she was going to be hurting him. "I guess Saturday you were right to a degree. I didn't tell you the whole truth. I mean I did go to New York to see him. To see if he could get his voice out of my head. More happened though. He wants to date. Erm. Court? In his words. Was cute." She was looking down at her glass a smile on her face as she thought about the whole courting question.
Then she looked up again and her smile was gone again. She felt horrible. "I want to see where it goes with him. Maybe it is the addiction to the bite? Maybe it is to his voice? I don't know but I want to find out. I want to know what draws me to him." Her pale eyes locked to his as she waited for his response.

Ambrose nods slowly and tilts the rest of his butterbeer back. "I see..." He runs a hand through his hair. "If you were worried about being addicted to voice or bite...perhaps speaking with Mary would be best..." He seems calm, polite...and his eyes don't reach hers for a long moment. After a moment of quiet, he does finally look and she can the storm raging in his eyes. "Is that why we are meeting here and not at one of our homes?" he asks quietly.

Aisha looked at him. "I thought it would be best? I honestly wasn't sure after what happened Saturday if it was a good idea or not to meet at our respective places of living." She thought for a moment as the waitress brought her salad. She took another sip of her wine and when the waitress left she continued. "I guess I could speak with Mary. I don't know. We shall see where that route goes." She finished speaking and pushed the plate away.
She was not longer hungry as she sat there watching him.

Ambrose nods. "That would be good. Mary wants what's best for you. She's a good friend." Ambrose watches her push away her salad and looks into her face, concern on his own. After a quiet moment, he slowly reaches out and gently takes her hand. With a sigh, he gives it a gentle squeeze. "Tell me what's on your mind?"

Aisha smiles softly at his touch. "I don't want to loose you as a friend dear. I don't want to hurt you while I try to figure out what I want from what paths I choose to follow."
She sips her wine with the other hand then put her glass down and covered his hand. "I've always been told I'm a free spirit. I guess that is why my animagius is a falcon and not like my patronus charm." She was silent for a moment.
"I want to go where the wind takes me but I don't want to burn bridges as I go with the wind." She took a breath and looked at him.

He nods slowly as he looks at their clasped hands. "The wind blows through trees...sometimes the same winds come back." He is quiet, his other hand coming to caress her top hand. "I never wanted to force anything. I like how I feel when I'm around you...and what I want is to love and be loved." He gives her hands a gentle squeeze. "I love our moments...enjoy being around you..." He looks into her eyes. "But I cannot hold wind. No one can..."

She smiles softly and watches the storm in his eyes, she drops her hands from his grasp and moves around to the other side of the able and sits next to him, taking his hands back in hers. "You never forced me into anything and you are right, the winds can blow back through the same trees and branches. I enjoy our moments as well Ambrose but I want to follow this. I want you to accept that I am going to follow this wind and if it does come back that you don't shut it out."
She took a deep breath. "You are loved, whether you see it or not, you are cared about. You have to understand that also." She kisses the tip of his nose with a softer smile.

She kisses his nose but before she can pull back, he cups her cheek and kisses her lips gently. After a moment, he breaks the kiss and breathes out slow. "Follow your wind. It is not in me to shut out anything. But I cannot promise if the tree has changed when the wind returns..."

She lets him kiss her gently and looks at him as he speaks. "Trees grow and change all the time dear. Change is expected no matter how the wind moves." She smiles a sweet soft smile, even if a bit sad as she lets his hands go and picks up her wine, to finish the last sip.
"If you ever want to meet, talk, my door is still always open." She stands from the table. Her appetite is gone. She pulls out some money and places it on the table for the food she never touched. She turns to walk to the door, a single tear falling down her cheek. She turns back and looks at him.
"If I don't see you before holiday is over, I hope you enjoy the rest of it." She walks out the door and stands there for a few moments, stepping aside for other patrons, wondering what was next for his path and hers.

Ambrose watches her go for a moment, the storm still raging in his eyes. Something...something bothered him. He couldn't just leave it like this. As she walked out, he dropped money for the drinks and chased off after her, dodging new costumers as they came in the door.
Practically bursting through the door, he looked around quickly to see where she went.

Aisha is leaning against the stone building, her fingers are rubbing her temples for a moment as she takes a deep breath. She hears the door slam open and she looks up at as Ambrose is standing there. "Hey." She almost says to loudly looking at him with concern on her face.

He turns to her and stops, breathing deep, quiet for a moment. He then walks over, pulls her into his arms and kisses her deeply. A hand reaches up to wipe the tear from her cheek before cupping it as the continues. No sense of anything else in the world, just...the moment.

Aisha watches as he comes over to her, pulls her in and then kisses her deeply as his hand wipes a tear away. She returns the kiss and to her it almost feels as if he is saying goodbye to her in this moment.
She pulls away and stares into his eyes, looking for something there, her own eyes wondering what just happened. "Why does that feel like goodbye, Ambrose? I am still going to be around. I am not leaving in the sense you won't see me again." Her voice a whisper as she stares into his eyes.

"No I know I...I just couldn't leave things like that. That...that isn't us. You might be following your wind tomorrow...but today that wind is here with this tree..." He moves a strand of her hair behind her ear and kisses her lips softly again. "So right now...I'm going to invite you back to my place. You are free to come if you wish...or not. But we don't end on just you walking away from me. We share moments..."

Aisha stares at him for a long moment. As much as she felt that he had a point. Her wind had already shifted, though she stood here, she was still blowing in a different direction.
"We do share moments Ambrose. I cannot share this one with you though. Not right now. Not the way you want." She felt even worse now, like she was trying to say one thing but that he kept pulling her back to something else.
She understood that he didn't want to let her spread her wings, she could see that, but she had to, she couldn't stay the way he wanted when she was thinking about someone else entirely it wouldn't be right to him, to put on a show that made him feel good when it wasn't real, not the way he wanted it to be truly be. The way he wanted her to be with him. She couldn't do that to him. She wouldn't do that to herself either.

Ambrose was quiet for a long moment before nodding. "Yea...yea of course. I understand." He kissed her cheek before letting her go, taking a step back. "Well...I look forward to the next one then. For now, just...take care of yourself..." He nods to her and then turns to walk away.

Aisha watched as he turned and walked off. She whispered "Take care also." She watched him walk for a moment. With a sigh she turned and as she took her next step she shifted into her falcon and flew off into the distance.
