Kindred:
- Only organized Camarilla presence in London. For some reason, they are operating in Knockturn Alley, with the knowledge, and more bizarrely, the permission of the Ministry of Magic. Both Regent Belmont and her right hand, Nikolaus Oberlin, are not keen on sharing why.
- Unprecedented as it may be, it would appear that one of the Pontifices if not Grimgroth himself sanctioned the Chantry's presence, albeit for unknown reasons; otherwise, logically, it couldn't exist at all in any official capacity.
- Further to a meeting between Rose and Mary, the Camarilla and at least one Sabbat Pack in London have agreed on a truce and defined a number of areas of influence in London for each party and of neutral zones (mostly religious and political/government buildings). Rose and Mary are the keepers of this agreement and decided to formally meet again in one year to see if the agreement can be kept as such or should be updated.
Wizarding World:
- The Ministry is fully aware of the Tremere's presence in Knockturn Alley. At the insistence of Hermione Granger, they were allowed to stay, so long as they agreed to abide by the Ministry's laws and refrain from feeding on witches and wizards. By all accounts, the Tremere have complied, and are polite enough, but they generally keep to themselves.
- "As Black As Ink" has become something of an unofficial embassy for the Camarilla in the Wizarding World. It would appear, at first glance, that it's just a bookstore with books on obscure forms of magic from all over the world, particularly Eastern Europe, South America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle-East. Nobody has ever seen what lies in the back area, and blueprints to the building don't show anything noteworthy.
- The bookstore is staffed by two twins who graduated from Hogwarts a few years ago; they claim to love their jobs, and indeed, work long hours during the day seemingly every single day, and without complaint or even fatigue.
- The Tremere are surprisingly knowledgeable about magic and wizarding history even by vampire standards. Rose in particular definitely seems to have done her homework.
- Obscure, yet still publicly available knowledge: Certain books about ancient wizarding history mention the word 'Tremere,' but in the context of a person's name, and not a clan of vampires. He was a brilliant wizard active in the thirteenth century known for pushing the boundaries of acceptable magical experimentation and study, but no historical record exists of him after this time period, and nobody knows what ultimately happened to him or his disciples.
Muggle World
- N/A. And if you're a muggle and know anything, don't let them find out if you know what's good for you.
Important OOC Note:
As per our discussion with the Guardians, we've had to amend Clan Tremere's history a bit due to the fact that the Order of Hermes does not exist in this universe. Without spoiling too much, the First Massasa War did not happen, and instead of being Hermetic Mages, Tremere and his disciples were witches and wizards.
Also note that the actual location of the Tremere Chantry in Knockturn Alley is a closely guarded secret currently known only to Rose and Nikolaus themselves, and certain privileged parties in the Tremere Pyramid. If anyone else wishes to play a Tremere in London and wishes to be invited to the Chantry, we can discuss this.
