After Dristan, Mary and Lili leave Mary's office he is very silent as he contemplates how he is going to say everything to Minerva.
Coming to the statue he gives the password and the stairs appear before the three of them. A gentleman he always is as he lets Mary and Lili head up first with himself behind them.
Once at the door to the Headmistress' office he knocks and waits quietly with Mary and Lili.

Mary smiles as Dristan's gentlemanly behaviour could easily be seen as him being scared to go first, which in the circumstances may not be entirely untrue. She takes the lead, rather than make Liliana take that honour, and arrives at the door to await the cousins.
"All yours, Dristan," she says with an encouraging smile.

Lili was silent the entire walk from the dungeons to the hidden staircase to the Headmistress' office. She isnt sure what to expect but she doesnt exactly know what to say either. The weight of the whole situation was showing its heaviness as she watched Mary ascend the stairs before her. She turns, her eyes meeting Dristan's for a brief moment. Worry filled them.
She looks back and follows Mary up the stairs and once to the top she turns and steps to the side right outside the door and waits for Dristan to make it to the top.

As the trio approaches the door at the top of the stairs, a voice rings out loud enough for all of them before they could even knock.
"Come in..." comes the voice of the Headmistress, "I will be with you all in a short moment."

Dristan hears Minerva and opens the door letting Mary and Lili in first. After they enter he shuts the door behind them and walks over near Minerva's desk.
One more time he goes over what he is going to say in his mind as he glances to Mary and Lili.
Right now he can not think on the possibilities of what could happen on the island. At this moment in time his focus was to get permission for Lili to be able to leave the school for the coming weekend.

They don't have to wait for too long before the Headmistress looks up and smiles at them all. "Professors, Miss Garcia. How might be able to help you today? Are we here to speak more about the dueling club you were working on last term?"

"No Headmistress. I am still waiting for all parent permissions to be returned to me." Dristan speaks truthfully. "We are here tonight for my request to be able to take Lilianna from school grounds from Friday night to Sunday afternoon."
Now it was time to let the cover flow. "My mother and her great aunt has fallen ill. With Lilianna in the process of fully becoming Matriarch of our family my mother has requested for the both of us to come to the estate in Cambridge for a family meeting with her."
He looks to Lili and sighs. "Our family endured a lot over the summer and it seems that with everything that happened to include the passing of my father that my mother is dying of a broken heart." He lowers his head.
"Tradition in our family dictates the full passing of the mantle from one matriarch to the next be done in person at the ancestral estate in Cambridge."
Dristan for the moment lets the emotions of everything he had been holding back come forth some.
"She will not miss any classes and will be escorted by me with your permission."

Minerva sits back and listens to Dristan speak. Once he was done, she could see the emotion coming from him and nodded. "I did indeed hear about your father, Professor Adamson. You and your family have our condolences of course." A small smile crosses her face as a finger taps her wand. "However, I think you forget that I have been teaching at this institute for a long time and dealt with many many students who have had many many excuses over the years. I have heard every story possible from the best and worst. You, professor, are a terrible liar..."
For a moment, it looks as if she is about to deny their request. She looks over at the picture of Dumbledore for a long moment before nodding and turning back to Dristan.
"She is still responsible for her work in her classes. Make sure you return before Monday morning's classes." She nods to them and goes back to writing something at her desk.

Mary stays back, this was Dristan's thing. When he begins lying to the headmistress, her expression becomes completely blank and neutral. No one had mentioned deception to her, and she felt extremely uncomfortable being part of a lie she hadn't agreed to. She makes a mental note to deal with Dristan later, and nods slightly when Minerva picks up the lie. Then she precedes the cousins out again.

Dristan made no objection or give excuse. Yes he lied and fine that he was caught in one. He was not going to tell Minerva that theybwere going to possibly battle demons on an isle that did not exist.
He glances at Mary sees the look and knew he was going to get it but in the end he would do whatever necessary. After all Mary did teach him that lesson.
He nods respectfully to Minerva and opened the door for Mary and Lili. He did not look at either of them. In the end the permission was given. That was all that mattered at this point.

Lili falls quiet and lets Dristan do the talking. Her eyes meet his, and then to the headmistress as he speaks. "I do promise to get my homework done Professor. I've never been one to let it fall to the way side when other matters come up in my personal life." Her words are quiet and straight forward. In fact, despite most issued in her life, Lili was always one to make sure school work was taken care of

Mary walks down the stairs, waiting for Dristan and Liliana out in the corridor. When they exit, the see Mary less than happy, arms crossed over her chest, clearly wanting to give Dristan a talking to.
"You did not mention one thing to me about lying to Minerva. You made me an unwitting party to that lie, and I am NOT HAPPY."

Dristan stopped right in front of Mary and knew before she even said her words she was not happy. He slowly walks right to her very close.
"I am not going to apologize for what I have said. By any means necessary remember." He whispers and not caring at the moment wraps his arm around her waist kissing Mary deeply and passionately.
Slowly he breaks the kiss either waiting for to continue with him or slapping him. Never taking his eyes off of her.
Fornthe worst case scenario in whatbwas to come. He wanted to see her smile.

Mary lets Dristan kiss her, though she doesn't actively kiss back. She's angry. When he's done, she raises her hand as if to strike him. She really really wants to. Her expression makes that perfectly clear. Then she growls, and lowers her hand.
"By any means ... but remember you have to work with this woman. And so do I!"
She hasn't smiled yet.
"Now ... am I going with you? Or is this a daylight expedition?"

Dristan looks at Mary's hand as it appeared she was going to strike him but never flinched. She was definitely angry with him. He let her go and took a step back from Mary.
"You are coming with us Mary. We leave Friday night when you are ready. We will meet in the main courtyard and I will apparate the three of us."
He looks away staring off into the distance.

"Ok, I go with you. I want to anyway, so all good there. But what happens at dawn? Do you have a plan at all? Or is all this happening on a whim and a prayer? Alas, unlike some Gangrel, I can't just burrow into the earth for the day."
She's clearly still angry, but there might be the faintest hint of a smile building. Even if it is only the thought of her burrowing into the earth like an animal.

"We charter a boat. I will have our supplies ready. I will have a particular tent ready so that covers daylight for you. Food for Darius, Lili and myself. If you need to feed then you will have me. I will be bringing particular potions for everything."
Dristan turns and looks at Mary. "Trust me I have got everything we will need. "The prayer part is when we get on the isle. Praying we find an end where it all began."
He was fiddling with something under his shirt.

"I'm not too keen on tents," she mutters. "They don't have the greatest reputation for being light tight. Even wizard tents. But I'll trust you, because I'm not going to let you go without me."
She leans in, lightly kisses his cheek.
"No dying."
And she turns to head back to the dungeons.

Lili had followed them down the stairs, but stopped short near the bottom of the stairs. She was quiet with the interactions between the two. She herself hadn't expected to lie to the headmistress, but deep down she knew it was one of the only ways to let this all happen. The headmistress likely wouldn't of let them leave over wise. She bites her lower lip at the exchange between the two and steps down once it is over and just before Mary retreats back to the dungeons.
The teenager sighs just a bit turning to look at him. The look was concern- Both Mary and Dristan were allowed to their abilities to help in the situation. Lili--She was stuck for another month and ahalf, her birthday not until the end of October when she'd finally be able to get rid of the trace. She always worried about things like that- what would happen if a situation called for magic and she wasn't able to do anything. "Friday Night..." She says softly taking a few steps back into the dark corridors of the castle. "Are we ready for this...."

Once Mary was away from the both of Dristan turns to Lili hearing her concern in her voice. He walks over to her and hugs her tightly to him.
"We are ready as we can be Lili." He whispers. He glances where Mary had left from. Hoping that all this interaction was not the last they did together just in case this all goes south.
Yes he was scared but right now he was not showing it. "If anything should go bad Lili you stay close to Mary. Do you understand?" He looks down at her.

Lili wraps her arms around him resting her head on his chest. The fear was rising but the embrace at least kept her calm. She looks over at him and sighs. "If anything happens I dont know what ill do Dristan...I'm not 17 until the end of October...not to mention the tie we have..." Her voice is quiet unsure.

"You and Mary worry to much. Now off to bed. You need your rest." Dristan smiles and nods after they hug. He leans against the wall still smiling.
Was he worried yes. Was he scared yes but he would not show it to anyone.

"Yea. good luck with that. I wont be sleeping the rest of the week" She sighed and watched him. "I know your hiding what you really feel Dristan..." She sighs and turns making her way down the corridor and back to her common room
