Dristan finally had a moment at the end of the day to go visit a familiar face he saw at the head table the night of the feast. He would not say they were good friends but they did run into one another during their schooling years at Hogwarts.
He enters the potions classroom as some students headed out and did not see Morgana at first. He smiles remembering how fiesty she was back then and wondered if she had changed at all.
Quietly he leans against one of the tables arms crossed his chest.

Morgana had resumed rearranging the shelves filled with jars and vials, standing tiptoe on a stool. It was clear from her mumbling that she was not impressed with the design for her taller predecessor. Sensing there was someone lingering, she kept working while she spoke.
"Yes? If you have a question about the assignment, I have open office hours from 1pm unt...." she trailed off as she turned and saw Dristan standing there.
"Well, well. If it isn't the old Spiffy Griffy Dristan Adamson. Good to see you grew into your eyes. And everything else." She said, eyeing him up, setting her inventory notebook down on the table ans she went back to restocking the ingredients on the shelves.
"What brings you down into the heavenly bowels of the school? Afraid I am doing something I am not supposed to be doing?"

Dristan just stood there with a slight smirk on his face until Morgana turned and saw him. Then came a saying he had not heard in years and his smirk turned to a smile.
"And if it isn't the queen of darkness herself Morgana LeFaye. I see as well you have....matured very well." He winks catching her eyeing him up and down.
"You doing something that you are not supposed to be doing? Now that would be a dull day indeed to catch you not getting into mischief." Dristan leans off the table removing his robes and whether she agrees or not goes about assisting her.
"I must say it was a sight to see you again after all these years." He smiles. "So what has the queen herself been up to I wonder?"

Morgana hopped down from the stool, obviously not having grown but a fraction since school. "Well, in some ways I have and others not so much." She said, whisking to grab more jars left out. "I can see how inconvenient it would be to trade wormwood with gilliweed now that I am the Professor. Switching them around was quite fun beck then." She sighed, remembering the explosion well with a slight smile. As Dristan began helping, she didn't stop him.
"Oh, you know. Singing, performing with my violin. Dating a vampire. I was back in New York for a bit, traveled here for a few gigs at a club in London and decided that Hogwarts was where I needed to be for now. After losing my violinist career, of course. Punching your boss is frowned upon." She said casually, though it hurt badly to even mention Emelius.
"And what about you? Still throwing your weight around, getting your way?" She looked up from her notebook and gave mock shock.
"Have you been....domesticated?!"

Dristan just shakes his head remembering the explosion. Then he watches her hop off the stool and he looked her over and looked away. She was still attractive as he remembered.
When she spilled everything he just stood there listening and almost speechless. "That is definitely a lot you have been through since last I saw you Morgana. Now supernatural dating I could write a book and I imagine you as well. Maybe we should collaberate one day." He chuckles.
"Throwing my weight around? Dear lady I never did no such thing, well maybe a little." He laughed as she gave him a mock shock.
"Though I am not as wild as I used to be. Children will do that to you I guess. That and divorcing Jasmine then..." He pauses a moment and made the decision not to tell her about Professor Kestrel.
"I was domesticated....but not anymore." He did not want to talk about Teagan and damn sure not about Mary.
"It is good to hear you still play your violin. I used to watch when I could when we were younger when you played." He smiles.
"So on a side note you will be teaching both my children this year."

Morgana listened and kept rearranging jars. She hopped onto the stool and placed a few more on higher shelf. "A book that could flip all of the text books in Hogwart's upsidedown I am sure." She chuckled, eyeballing the shelf and then taking a few more down, looking at them for freshness and putting them back. Taking another jar of wolfsbane down, she set it aside to be refilled.
"It sounds like you have quite the checklist over the last while. I am not quite an old hag yet, but we will see how living down here changes that." She smirked and scribbled on her paper with her quill.
"Children will do that to you, but it depends on the children, I suppose." She looked over the classroom for a moment and then back to Dristan. "I never imagined I would be back here teaching, that is for sure." Taking a few larger jars and putting them in a wooden box, she closed the lid. She would have to collect and refill them later. "I have yet to meet many others here. I spend most of my time down here, trying to make it my own."
"I don't think you will ever be truly tamed. Gryffindor was just not for you and now the head of Slytherin? You do have an array of hats that you wear." She moved the box to the side of the large table.
"Ah yes. Matilda Adamson I presume? Quite the interesting young lady. She has potential. Although I was surprised when she was sorted to Hufflepuff, I must say." Morgana said, smiling slightly. "I was hoping she would be wearing green. Her friend, Yelena seems interesting."

"Indeed children change much of our lives. Thus why I am the way I am now. But I would never change it. Matilda and Dmitry mean the world to me." Dristan nods pulling down several more emory jars for Morgana.
"This reminds me of the times of detention down here." He laughs. "You know better than anyone I could have gone slytherin or gryffindor during my sorting. Why it put me in gryffindor...I never asked honestly. But being head of slytherin...I feel I am in the house I was supposed to be." He nods.
He bumps her like he used to when they were in school and smirked. "Look at it this way. You always had a lion watching out for you." He winks.
"Matilda in Hufflepuff...honestly it shocked me but as long as she is happy that is all that matters and Dmitry is a sixth year slytherin so you should be teaching him as well."
He glanced at her inventory list and went to a certain shelf. "You are running low on bezoars." He pulls a box from the shelf and brought it to her.
"It is good to see you again Morgana." He smiles.

Morgana listened and quirked an eyebrow, Shoving him back a bit harder than was necessary as he bumped her. "A 6th year son?" She asked, trying to do the math in her head. She hated math so she quit. Too many variables these days. "I will have to give him a what for and make sure that he remembers my class from a long time to come." She said, laughing deeply in her throat. She looked at Dristan as he brought over the box. "Thank you" She said, softly and took some tongs and to refill the jar of bezoars from the box. "I should have come sooner to restock before session started." Her eyes on the jar as she sighed. "Oh well, more to keep me busy and from running back to New York." She said, shrugging and waving the solemn feel off. "I see that Mary teaches here as well. Lovely lady." She said, pausing at his comment about seeing her again.
"Its good to see you too, Dristan. It's nice to see a friendly, familiar face. Well, Familiar anyway." She said, her eyes narrowing as she made the jab at him. Her ferret ran up her back and to her shoulder, starting at Dristan with its beady eyes for what seemed like ages before running back down to the floor, across the stones and up a bookcase to his hideaway. Morgana sighed. She indeed was curious about his ventures and the variety of houses that his family seemed to occupy. But not as odd as the Potter boy, whom she faintly heard about getting put in Slytherin after she napped through it.
"So what did you really come down here for? You have matured because in the past you would have lobbed rotten gourds at me." She said, her hazel gaze intense on him with the same weight as a student she was quizzing.

Dristan felt the harder shove from Morgana and took it in stride. "By all means. Put my son through the ringer. It will do him some good." He spoke calmly looking at her list once more.
"New York? Lovely city to visit. Been there a couple of times." He spoke as he made sure the jars he was looking for were full.
He pauses catching her jab and looked at her with her narrowed eyes. "Right...you are expecting me to be immature and do something to you." He smiles.
"Well I guess I get to rain on your parade. Just came down here to say hello to an old friend." He nods watching her ferret for a moment.
"Yep just like old times."

Morgana watched him inspecting the jars and stopped what she was doing for a moment, confused. It wasn't usual that someone went out of their way to just say hello to her. "I see.." She said, going back to arranging bottles. The silence was thick between them for a while before she finally spoke. "Well, I appreciate that." She said, smirking and loading the filled jars back on the shelves.
Not really focusing on the tasks at hand, Morgana realized she had been moving the same jars about for the last thirty seconds. "New York is alright to visit. Living there for me was too....peopley." Morgana shrugged. "I am sorry to hear about your divorce, though. But at least the kids get to be here with you." She said, shuffling some jars around again. She was fidgeting. Sucking up her anxious feeling, she turned and scribbled something about more jars and corks on her parchment and then set the quill back in the holder on the table by the inkpot.
"I will do my best to make sure your son has to work through Potions. Since I can't get after you." She laughed a little too brightly. After a few seconds she calmed herself and brought her expression back to her crooked smirk. "So where is there mother, if I may ask. Does she teach here as well?"

"As I told you years ago Morgana. You never need to thank me. Just like I am not looking for anything from you." Dristan nods and hears she will handle Dmitry and put him through the ringer.
"I have only visited New York a couple of times. I like the city but I do understand what you are saying about being peopley."
Dristan needed to think for a moment on how to explain about the children and their mother.
"Jasmine and I divorced over 5 years ago. We did not have children. Matilda is originally from New York. My ex-fiance and I adopted her. Dmitry emancipated himself from his family due to issues and adopted as well."
He turns and looks at her. "Complicated to say the least. Their mother is a muggle not a witch." He had made the promise to never tell anyone Teagan was a changeling and would keep it.

Morgana looked at Dristan, her work stopped entirely. She folded her hands on the table and sat on a claw footed stool, her expression one a mix of thought and concern. "Complicated seems a bit of an understatement." She said, her eyes boring into his. There was something else there he was holding back. Dristan had never been a simple case, even as a young student at Hogwart's. After what seemed like ages, she looked at her pad of paper and sighed.
"I don't expect you to explain. I, myself, cannot beginn to fathom anything you have experienced. I have never married, have no children and do not consort with muggles outside the pubs and dive bars in New York. If something slipa there magically, they laugh it off, too drunk to notice or they forget come morning." She said, shrugging.
"It has been a rather lonely path except for a few nice weeks with someone I miss greatly. So I can't really say I have dealt with what you have. But I am sorry that it had to happen. Although it sounds like it turned out rather well for you." She said, shifting and placing more empty bottles in the box.
