Lili and agreed to meet Dristan down in the dungeons to meet with Mary. After a long conversation between the two the thought it best to at least tell someone what was going on. Since Mary was a confidant- it only made sense to explain what they had found out. With a heavy breath, dressed in her uniform still, Lili walked the empty halls of the dungeon towards the door she had known to be Mary's office. She looked around for any sign of Dristan and smiled when she finally saw him. He was downing a potion of some sort. The look on Lili's face rather intrigued at what potion he had decided he needed and with a raised brow and a crooken grin; "Ya know- could you at least give me a heads up if your planning to have any sort of fun..." The words were teasing as she turned to face the door and knocked. @dristan morte |

Dristan finishes the potion and looks at Lili with a raised eyebrow. "Lets focus on this shall we..." He smiles and knocks on the door to Mary's office.
He had the journal and the map from his office with him. It took several days but he finallybwas able to get close enough on the map where the isle was supposed to be.
Quietly he waits....

Mary hadn't been expecting anyone to come calling Monday evening. Her first class, her Muggle Studies orientation, wasn't until Tuesday evening. She had been sitting in front of the fire, reading a recent novel she planned to introduce.
Opening the door to find Dristan was a pleasant surprise, but when she saw Liliana too, a worried look crossed her face.
"What has happened?" She asked.

Lili looks at Mary as she opens the door and chews her lip almost nervously.
"We found more information...about the family." She whispers. Her hazel eyes look at Dristan and back to Mary.

Mary waves them both inside, closing the door. She offers them the chairs by the fireplace, pulling her desk chair over for herself.
"Now tell me what is so terrible." she says, looking between them calmly. She wasn't expecting guests, so there is no kettle or tea ready.

Dristan would normally gaze at Mary but this time around his eyes were distant, angry, disgusted. He sits in the chair that was offered.
"My grandfather, her great uncle was the one who made the deal with an unamed demon which has caused our possessions. All for wealth nothing more. The journal also states that he knew my father was possessed at a young age. The deal was made before my father was born."
He looks at the map in his hand. "There is a map in the journal to a lost isle on the southern coast of England that is not on any map. I have transcribed to this map of where the isle should be." He gives the map to Mary as well.

Mary looks at the journal, takes the map, looks at it carefully. She nods thoughtfully.
"At least you know something now. It might not be good news, but at least it's progress. Is there any indication your grandfather knew this would happen? What do you plan to do next?"
She looks really carefully at the map. A hidden island. Magical? Like Azkaban? She wondered.

"The journal does not speak about any ritual or price to be paid. Just the deal for wealth, an unamed demon and the isle." Dristan sighed rubbing his neck.
"I looked...." He stops himself. "We plan on going to search for the isle on holiday. We wanted to let you know." He nods. He does not look at either if them right now.
The news about this had hit him hard ever since they found the journal.

She listens. But she also watches. She can see how this information has affected Dristan. A man who always had such love for and pride in his family, discovering their prosperity was mostly a fraud, it had hit him hard. She knelt down by him and lifted his chin so their eyes were level.
"This does not change who and what you are. This does not change the good works you have done and will do in the future. You are th same man you were before you discovered this. The same GOoD man. And do NOT for one moment believe this changes anything. We WILL put an end to this, and free you both. I promise you that. If for no other reason than I am not someone who will be denied!"

Dristan's eyes finally gazed into Mary's after she knelt down next to him and lifted his chin. Her words ringing into him and she said the same as Lili but a bit more.
"That is why we must go and journey for the isle on holiday. Mattie and Dmitry will be with Teagan so they need not know." He whispers.
"If we find the isle I do not know what to expect or what demon we will encounter. It could very well be our end. Thus why Lili and I will have our affairs in order as a precaution. We are walking in blind."

Lili follows Dristan into the office and over to chair. She sits down, bringing her knees to her chest as she always did in the these types of chairs. She listened to the exchange between the two, falling silent as she lost in her thoughts. The messages with Darius, trying to get him to meet with her...
Hazel eyes look up to the two, watching Mary knelt before him, and the words. There was something more- at least that's how it appeared but she would leave it for now--
"We thought it best to come tell you what we found and what we were planning to do."

Lili looks at Mary and to Dristan.
"I dont know what we're going to do. But I did manage to get ahold of Darius. He wants to talk- but he wont meet me in Hogsmead. Something about magic that's not his own is bad. He was a mess at the Hospital. I told him we'd be working this out next holiday, and he asked if there was a way to get permission to leave school early to deal with this. I told him I wasn't sure if that was possible. The Term just started..."

Dristan places his hand on top of Mary's and looks between Mary and Lili going back to Mary. "Yes we came here for your help. We can not do this alone." He whispers and looks at Lili and she speaks about Darius.
"Perhaps this can not wait. Last I heard of Darius he is close to full possession. He no longer has time left."
He ponders. "Mary...we need to speak to Minerva."

Mary listens to Liliana. She'd heard from Her father. That was good. Wasn't it?
"Shouldn't you at least prepare first, before running off half cocked? You only just found this information. Use the school library. Research what you found. You haven't had that resource since all this started." She looked at Dristan. "Then talk to Minerva. When you know what you're doing. Really know."

Dristan hears and understands where Mary is coming from but at this point this was a situation that needed to be addressed and now.
"Darius is on the verge of a full possession. To take time, research takes valuable time from him. He is my family and with the information we have then I feel we have enough. I do not care about myself at this point. Darius and Lili are my family and concern."
Gazing deeply into Mary's eyes and caressing her cheek. "I know you want to protect. I know you do not want to be denied. But family is everything. Like your pack, your family. If they were on borrowed time. You would jump immediately to help them no matter what and that is what I am doing." His voice calm and dark.
"This falls on me not just as his cousin but also the Patriarch. There is no other option."

Lili falls silent.
"I can't sit back at let Darius parish Mary" She whispers. "Thats my father, my family. It's our duty to try and solve this so we dont lose another family member..." She listened to Dristans words the way he explains it to her. She didn't know what would happen, but Dristan had been explaining it the best he could to both her and Mary...

"You both know that going in with zero idea of what you will be facing is the surest recipe for disaster. I cannot sway you to take even a few nights in the books to seek for answers? You can't leave until after classes on Friday, at the earliest. At least use that time wisely?"
She was angry. But she was also concerned. She had invested a lot in both these Adamsons. She didn't want to lose them. Not this way. But, if they survived, and were triumphant, all the better. She could say honestly that they had been tested by the darkest magics and survived.
"When should we speak to Minerva?" She asks Dristan.

"Lili we will meet tomorrow after classes in the library one last time to see if we can find anything."
He looks from Lili to Mary another caress. Leaning to her ear with a whisper just for her.
"You have taught me so much. You have shown me so many things. I will always love you Mary. I always will." He leans back his eyes wolf like then normal.
"No matter what happens....remember my words."

"You speak like this is the end, like you're not coming back. Like you're going alone." She shakes her head.
"When do you plan to speak with Minerva? Or are the two of you just planning to up and vanish?"

"I dont think you could get rid of us that easily Mary--" She encourages. "We've done all the research we can and nothing has been helpful until we found this journal in my uncles study. This is the only thing that has given us anything. And honestly who knows what we will find. It could be nothing"
She lets her feet hit the floor, watching Dristan and Mary interact. It was weird to see the interaction- but they had always seemed to be close...Her eyes danced over to the fire in the fireplace watching the flames dance against the stone.
"We're coming back Mary."

"You worry too much." Dristan whispers to Mary. His thumb gliding along the top of her hand. Many things could go wrong on the island but those were risks willing to be taken for a family member.
"We are going to see Minvera now." He was not going to wait on things anymore. Time was no longer an ally to the family.
"Both of you let me do all the talking with Minvera." He nods. He had the perfect coverup etched in his mind for the excuse.
Slowly he stands. "Lili owl Darius. Have him meet us is Portsmouth at the harbor Friday night." He looks to Mary.
"You will not lose us. I will wait for you to dress."

"No, I don't worry too much, I worry appropriately."
She gets up, dusting off her knees. She's already dressed, wouldn't have answered the door otherwise.
"Then lets go ... but don't be surprised if she's not happy."
Mary wasn't in a mood to argue with the headmistress, and more than willing to let Dristan do the talking.
