The office would have been spacious if not for the assortment of apothecary tables, chests and shelves holding various bottles of liquids and dry ingredients.
The stone walls were dark, sparsely lit from the wall torches. A small corridor led to another room where a cauldron hung over a woodfired pit. Around it more tables and bottles riddling them stood waiting, thick books open to random pages. Some of them fully filled with elegantly quill written notes, others only half so.
Back in the main area, a large desk sat, its neat and orderly appearance a stark contrast to the organized chaos of the rest of the office and workspace. The vaulted ceilings echoed every sound that came through. Draperies in deep green velvet and jacquard hung on the walls, giving the room a small amount of color, but did little to make it feel warm and welcoming.
An ornately carved pair of chairs sat in front and facing the desk, the upholstery in the same deep green velvet. Gold inlay accented the dark wood. There was little to give clues as to whom the office belonged to, other than it was a Potions Professor.
