Dreamers Dreaming [It Begins]

Mattie yawns looking up at the stars, where was she? This was quite different the nightmares or dreams she had ever had in the past. She felt so relaxed though. She didn't feel the need to struggle or fight, she just floated. Her hand moved along the water with her body, but she didn't feel wet or cold. This seemed odd to her but she didn't question it, she just liked that she didn't have anything to worry about. That everything just seemed so peaceful.

The boat came by, she kind of tilted her head to the side, if she remembered this dream in the morning, she might ask why a boat? Why the black river? She liked looking up at the stars, they added to her sense of calming, that somehow this was all just a normal dream.

When she felt the land on her back, she looked around. Other people? She blinked and sat up. It wasn't unusual for her to see other people in her dreams, so she didn't think to much about. She stood up and looked at the people. 

Was that her father? Lili? Kiami? The other girl from camp? She blinked, what were they doing in her dream? "Um, hello?" She looks to the other woman standing. 

"Why are you in my dream?"

(Mattie is aprox. 4'10, 80lbs, brown hair and eyes, pale skin, she is wearing Outfit)

Matilda is still trying to work out what is going on. She was thinking this has got to be some strange dream. She did wonder why these other people she didn't know and Jeremy were also here, but no Arthur in her dream.

She sees a young girl walk up to her. Asking what she is doings in her dream. “I'm sorry your dream. What are you doing in my dream"

"Wait your dream sweetheart? I just fell asleep ....." Dristan pauses for a moment seeing the other woman talking to Mattie. "I fell asleep and now...." He looks around once more still staying close to Mattie, Lili and Jillian.

He looks to Matilda now. "Dristan...." He nods to Matilda and he is definitely coming off that he is very protective of the three girls.

She looks as this young child who seems to think this is her dream.”Well Mattie we will have to assume that we have a shared dream here. They call me Matilda as well”. She moves closer to Jeremy as he is the only person she knew, waiting for him to wake up.

Mattie grinned. "Oh! Another Matilda! Sweet!" She seems bouncing and excited and turns back to look at Jillian standing next to her father. The googles is what made her think of the girl from camp, but she just couldn't remember her name. Though she knew her dad and called him 'Professor.'

"I didn't even look for my wand, but I will assume it isn't here either." She looks over her body and around where she came up on the shore. "Yeah and Morticia isn't here either." She sighs.

"So, um, I think I met you at camp, I am sorry I scared you with my painting also." She looks to her dad. "Can magic do this? Like make us all have the same dream? Like? Even with people we don't know?" She raises an eyebrow wondering what was going on.

Jillian wrapped the jacket around her tighter and then decided to do it up as Dristan looked at her. She appreciated him using her first name at least, that helped suggest he was perhaps himself and not just a dream figure. "I think I'm in perfect health.. I'm not even tired." she replied in a puzzled expression, before glancing to Mattie. "I remember you too, you gave us a fright." she decided not to mention the odd dreams she had had about the painting, "There is magic that can pull people into dreams, but as far as I know you all have to be in the same place for it to happen and I can assure you, nobody got into my parents house." she whispered.

"Professor, what do we do if some of those others are muggles?" She asked in a low tone while checking the jacket pockets. "No phone I'm afraid.."

Dristan looks to Lili and Kiami and then back to Mattie and Jillian. "Good. It seems whatever this is....I honestly do not know I need time to figure all this out." When Jillian said she did not have her phone he nods and then her question. "For now we are muggles. Do not speak of our world to them." He whispers to both Mattie and Jillian and looks to Mattie when she said she had her phone and gently accepted it and tried to cut it on but to no avail. He hands Mattie her phone back.

"Alright for right now we remain here with Lili and this young lady next to her until they wake up. Once they are then we can speak to the rest and get a game plan together to try and figure out where we are and how we got here.....most importantly how to get back home."

"If anything confuses you Jillian about muggle technology and such come to me and I will help you understand it." He tries to smile to both girls. Out of all the times for something like this to happen. He was already dealing with his world being destroyed and now this.

Matilda senses very quickly that the others here know each other and carries on making her way to where Jeremy was and wait for him to wake up. She wanted him to see someone that he knew when he woke up. She found somewhere to sit near him and started to wait for him to wake up.

She was thinking of Arthur whilst she was waiting for Jermey to awaken. So they could make sense of what is going on and why he was in her dream.

Kiami yawned, sleep taking over her body. She felt relaxed and warm as she drifted into slumber. Suddenly, she felt like she was floating, her body moving lazily with the current. Current? She blinks slightly confused. "Wasn't I just in my own bed? Where am I?" Though she asked herself these questions, she felt no fear, only peace. It was a lovely comforting feeling.

Looking up, she stared into the endless sky of stars. Not able to understand how she had gotten here, but not really worried about it, she floated along on a sea of black water that made her cold nor wet. A boat floated by her, Kiami glanced over, making eye contact with a man that stood at the bow of the boat. Something in her mind flickered, but she felt so relaxed that the feeling fleeted without registering.

Was this a dream? It felt like it, but it wasn't a dream she had ever experienced before. Before she could contemplate what was going on any further, she felt the water below her end and the ground begin. The sand was warm beneath her body, yet she didn't open her eyes, nor did she move. She lay there quietly, as voices she didn't recognize filtered around her.

Suddenly, the night faded away and brilliant sunlight washed over her face, some where in her mind, she knew this was no dream, that it had never been a dream, but then how did she, or the other voices she heard get here?

Matilda's voice filtered into her still foggy, yet relaxed mind, breaking her thoughts as they bounced about her head. Kiami finally blinks, and opens her eyes, sitting slowly up as she takes in her surroundings, placing bodies to voices, though the only person she knew was Matilda. She looks over at the girl sitting next to her and gives a small smile.

"I am okay Mattie. Where are we? Are you having the same dream, yet not really a dream that I am? How did we get here? Who are all these people? I only know you. I don't want to be with strangers. I want to go home now. My parents will be worried. If I go back to sleep, maybe I can wake up in my bed."

Kiami rambled on, a tinge of fear crawling through the previous calmness she had felt, she couldn't stop the tears that threatened her eyes as she looked at her friend, or the fear that seemed to filter through her rambling words.

*Kiami is about 4'9 in height, and weighs 80lbs. She is wearing this. Outfit*

After returning from the cave Dristan looks around and watches Mattie speaking with the girl that just woke up next to Lili and stood there quietly for a moment. As Mattie was talking Dristan walked over to Matilda and where Jeremy is sleeping. "Excuse me my name is Dristan. I think I may have some information that could shed light on our situation." He nods to Matilda.

"The cave over there is the palace of Hypnos. There is a star chart in there in the shape of the Corona Borealis. The crown given to the god of wine. We are in Hypnos' realm. The river that brought us here is the Lethe. One of the rivers of the underworld. So I would imagine the boat we keep seeing is Charon's."

Hopefully the information he was giving Matilda would help or she would think he was crazier than a loon.

Kiami stands up, brushing the sand from her clothes, reaching a hand out to Matilda, she pushes the fear that crawled through her veins back, putting on a brave face. Any signs of fear, no longer showing as she looks down at her friend.

"If you aren't scared Mattie, than I won't be either. Let's go over to your dad, he's saying something to that other woman, and I want to know what he's talking about. Maybe I can help, after all my father has a huge library, so there must be something I can remember about whatever is going on here."

"Nice to meet you as well Dristan. Admittedly in a strange situation". She looks at the three younger ones before looking back at Jermey.

"The last thing I remember that I had a drink to try and get some sleep. Then I find myself here, confused at what is going on. Yeah I know him. We were becoming friends. I just want him to see a friendly face" she says back to Dristan.

Jillian shivered and hugged herself as the wind picks up. Silently she cursed herself, if this was a dream then it was her own subconscious at fault for what she was wearing.

She looked up and watched the boat sail past silently. She did not even make an attempt to get the attention of any of its occupants, they could clearly see the beach and did not seem interested in helping or slowing. She looked back to the main group, making mental notes of each of them. What more could she add to the conversation though, that she had also been sleeping? As if her current attire didn't announce that itself.

Dristan watches the boat go by and looks at the people that he could see aboard it and tilts his head. Definitely different times in history. Different races. He looks back Matilda. "Definitely Charon's boat. The way the people are dressed and their mannerisms." He looks to the water and then towards where the cave is and back to Matilda once more.

"Lethe is the river of forgetfulness. One of the three rivers of the underworld. And we are stuck with the one that makes you forget." He sighs. He looks over to where Mattie, Kiami, Lili and Jillian were. "We need to make sure they are taking care of and not let out of our sights."
