Matilda looked in the bag she had found herself carrying with the necklaces in there. She sees people praying and she believes it isn't the worst idea in the world as she says her own prayer quietly to herself.
She then takes out one of the necklaces out and puts it on to see if anything happens. She tries to keep steady as the boat rocks

Mattie starts to scream, kick and bite at Terra who is holding her. Her mind doesn't see Terra it sees something's horrifying and she starts screaming for help her nails digging into the flesh of the arm around her.
"HELP ME!" she is reaching up to the bright shinning lady that takes up the sky. She finally wretches free and from the grasp of the person holding her and she falls to the ground trying to crawl away from everything she goes to the rail, ready to jump into the water.

The towering figures puzzled gaze had been following the coin as it rolled across the deck, but as Mattie cries out she kneels down causing more movement to the boat. A finger more than twice as long as anyone is tall moves to rest against the railing before Mattie and she gazed down at the group. Closer to her eyes are indeed as wide as the windows of any church or temple, possessing flecks of every warm or soft colour imaginable. Why did you bring me here, little ones? Why did you bring the coin together? she asked in her multitudinous voice, clearly curious.
The ships entire crew were looking to the group of you now, as is Alicia although she seems more relaxed than the others. Her camera now in her hand.

Mattie is about to go over with the rocking of the boat and is caught by a large giant finger. She blinks and for a split second she follows it up to the woman. That moment is gone as she hugs the finger brightly. "Pretty coin! Puzzle!" she laughs brightly and holds onto the finger as best she can hugging it.
Then the colors of the woman's eyes catch her and she stares into them, lost in the array of beautiful colors coming from them, her voice sounding so beautiful that it shouldn't be real. She leans against the finger staring at the colors reaching out for them to play with and it seems as though she might be drooling now.

The gigantic spirit woman delicately holds Mattie in her hand, clearly trying to keep the woman safe. Her melodic voice and fluid movements seem to be pleasant in nature. A member of the crew manages to catch the coin, handing it to the captain. He gives it a really close look at says aloud to the woman above.
Captain: "Spirit of Babylon, I do not know why these dreamers have called you. May I humbly appeal to gently move as to not cause us to capsize. I beg thee mercy."
The spirit of Babylon looks around at the fact she is in the river and nods gently to the captain, then looks back to the group. "If I am not needed here, then I must leave. Why have you summoned me?" She is still holding Mattie very, very carefully in the palm of her hand. Tassels from her gown gently caressing the girls face in an array of colours and luminescent shimmer.

Struggling against Mattie's movements, Terra growls with pain as her fingers deftly break his skin. The surprise behind her attacks, causing him alarm as he releases her, almost screaming as his friend goes tearing across the rocky deck of the boat, but before he can do anything the tall, beautiful Goddess before him leans down and as Mattie reacts like that of a two year old, she picks her up, and gently holds the girl in the palm of her hand.
Terra is astonished to get such a close vivid look at her eyes, like staring into the most magnificent cathedral ever built. Multitudes of colors explode like a sea of rainbows, and as Terra stares, a voice. His voice, no. Kiami's deep inside his heart speaks. The fear he felt swept away by the calming words and the beautiful vision of her eyes.
He is snapped from his trance as the captain speaks, his eyes following the mans voice, settling on the coin, and suddenly his mind explodes. Like the memory of just mere minutes flooded through his soul.
"Goddess! I remember!" He yells out, to grab her attention. Suddenly letting go of the railing, he steadily walks towards the woman no longer afraid, but feeling safe with her. He stopped at her feet, and stared up at her, as he spoke.
"Hypnos. He brought us here." He says, as he gestures with his hands at the rest of his group. "He said, it was our job to save either reality or the dreamers. We choose to save the dreamers." He then continues his story, telling the Goddess all that has transpired that had led up to this very moment. Save the fact that Hypnos had changed the group. His eyes shining with the truth of all he said.
"So you see, Mattie.." he nods to the drooling girl still in the goddess's hand ...
"began to sort the broken coins, and when the two halves of the coin that the captain is holding, joined. You appeared."
He blinks, and takes a deep breathe before finally finishing his story.
"I say all of that, to tell you that even though we had no idea what the power of these coins possessed, can you help us crack the riddles given to us? So that we may further succeed in our journey?"

The spirit nods lightly, "I will help as I am able. What are your riddles?" She rumbles a soft laugh, "I am no Goddess, I am the spirit of Babylon."

Terra fishes around in his pockets, looking for the notebook. Then he remembered he no longer had it. So instead opted to recite the riddles from memory...
Beware Thuba Mleen, the Emperor of Utar Vehi that lies in the shadow of Peol Jagganoth. His eyes, and those he has stolen, are everywhere.
You may follow the Yann, but he guards the Poltrades and other routes. By his order, none shall pass through her gates of copper.
~
The desert is timeless. Man is but a wind that blows across her sand and then is gone. No wind was meant to blow forever. It would become a wind no longer.
She grew from a wound in the desert. That would must now be healed. None shall drink of the desert's blood.
She has slept in isolation for so long. Her brothers and sisters must be called to her when she wakes. She must not wake alone.
In her sleep, she desperately calls. She yearns for company, lest she falls into madness. Her heart must be broken so that she might finally awake and dream no more.
Once finished, he sighs, and still looking up at her, shrugs as if to say "we've no idea where to go from here."
He blinks, her statement finally processing through his brain, a quizzical look on his face.
"If you are the spirit of Babylon, does that mean that the other ancient civilizations also have a spirit such as yourself?

Mattie gasps out as the hand picks her up and she lays there her mind unable to comprehend what is happening to her. A moment later more colors and fuzzy strings play in her face and she starts to sing some childhood lullaby and braid the tassels. "Pretty pretty princess." she says between hums of words that make no sense.
"Rainbow colors pretty, up up away we go! Zoooomm zoooommm flllly higher!" she laughs and claps her hand and then stands in the woman's hand trying to dance to someone unheard music or maybe it was the woman's voice?

The spirit nods, "Yes, of course there is a spirit of the other cities. Bethmoora has a spirit, but she has been alone and asleep for quite some time. We miss her very dearly. If she is indeed calling to us, then we must go to her. Perhaps you called me too soon?"

Matilda sees this thing holding Mattie who seems very unbalanced mentally right now. She's worried for her. She hears this thing call themselves a spirit before saying all cities have spirits.
Then the whisper makes sense "She has slept in isolation for so long. Her brothers and sisters must be called to her when she wakes. She must not wake alone' Bethmoora is the she Harrow thinks.
"Yes we have possibly called you too soon, and for that we apologize. Now put them down." Harrow says to the spirit.

Being lost in a book is the only way Jeremy know hows to regain himself. Not necessarily reading with intent, but soaking information as best as he could. With his suitcase leaning against his leg, Jeremy found comfort in just being, at least momentarily. He vaguely remembers people talking, a few voices directed at him, but tiredness and the stress of manifesting himself in a different area brought a wave of nausea upon him. He found a long time ago that burying his head in the stories of a book helped him focus.
A small number of hours have passed in which Jeremy recalls seeing in his peripheral the crew crawl into their hammocks for a rest. The passages read by Jillian and Matilda.
Curiously it wasnt the vigorous rocking of the boat, the chaos that ensued nor was it the size and beauty of the spirit that snapped him from hus book. But the sound of a Mattie sliding out of the hand of the spirit almost singing 'weeee'
"Oh....wow...." he says in almost wonder." There is a couple of things. The heart of a city....to me thats either a temple of a market. Your highness..." he says to the spirit." Could you do us the honour of helping us with this question?" He pauses to stare around him at the crew and his fellows. " And im sorry if this a demeaning question to someone of your prowess...but what of the Emperor? ..." he pauses again, realising how rude he has just been. And bows apologetically.

The Spirit of Babylon looks down at Jeremy, leaning in every so slightly in an attempt to honour the captains request of being gentle. "Of course you may answer little one. He still lives and he has eyes all over these areas of the dream lands. If you wish my humble thoughts, stay out of his sight. He caused great damage to our sister Bethmoora and he will do everything in his power to do all he can to control what happens to her ancient city."
She lifts up, "If there is nothing else, I should go." She looks towards the direction the boat was floating in. "I will help the captain with lost time, a day further at least for disrupting his crew."

Jillian had been watching, still greatly worried for Mattie and thankful the others had spoken up. They seemed to have found some control of the situation, so she kept quiet until it looks as if the spirit was about the leave. Something Jeremy had said urged her to speak up while she still could. "B-Babylon, what is Bethmoora's heart?" she called out while moving across the deck to where Mattie was. Carefully she attempts to comfort the seemingly deranged girl, gently attempting to peel her from giant spirits hand. Memories of the first time she met Mattie popping into her head.

The spirit slowly picks up the boat and starts carrying it down the river with very gentle movements. "I would listen to your little friend." She indicates Jeremy, "He understands."

Matilda is still worried about Mattie and her mental state. She makes her way up to her slowly to ensure that she is not startled. Once close to her she starts to try and relax her before starting to make her feel better by slowly talking to her until she is better.
She stays close to her until otherwise told.

Mattie Adamson is now back to her senses, although it does appear she may not remember what happened between the moments of putting the coin together and now. She would most likely just now notice the spirit towering above everyone for the first time. She is still quite injured and very bruised.

Mattie is trying to so hard to focus, the words Harrow are speaking, for some reason she finally can speak and think clearly. She looks around realizing something was amiss. Her eyes follow thr gaze of many of the group and crew and she certainly doesn't miss the lady that takes up half the scenery.
"Holy...." she follows the view upwards. Finally meeting the face and eyes and she is blown away. She goes to stand, oh her body hurts and it is a struggle.
She blinks up at her and then a whsiper to the group. "Um...hey..pssst...where did she come from?" she takes a step backwards and realizes Jillian is standing there. "Sorry." she whispers.

"Er.. the coin called her, I think." Jillian responds, helping Mattie to stand easier and giving her a reassuring smile. She was glad the girl seemed back to her and thankful of Harrow, "Her name is Babylon and.. well, she is the spirit of that city and a friend of Bethmoora. Maybe even her sister."

Mattie gives a nod and a reassuring smile to Jillian. "Wait so the coin?" she scratches her head. "Okay so are all the coins of their respective civilizations hold a spirit and if so are the friends or sisters and brothers? And if that is so, should she um return when we get to the city? Which also brings me to my next question. Anyone got two broken half coins from Bethmoora that would summon her?" she was asking a bunch of questions unaware that they had all been answered.
"Thank you for coming Babylon Spirit." she smiles up at her. She whispers back to Jillian. "Does she have any information? Has she spoken? Does she know why Bethmoora sleeps?" then she looks back up to the spirit woman. "Who is killimg dreamers?"

Jillian was uneasy in regard to Babylon, moreso after her question had been disregarded. Her thoughts were back that she was merely here to help those with the strength of will and ability to fix things. She found herself impressed with how quickly Mattie had taken to the situation, wondering if it was her youth. In her experience younger students were always more willing to accept the truly imaginative and miraculous, while older students could not help but wonder about the mechanics behind the magic.
"She said the Emperor caused a lot of damage to Bethmoora and that we should try and stay out of his sight, I think he'll stop us if we can." she whispered in Matties ear.

Unknown to everyone (it isn't immediately noticeable), Dimitri and Caleb Molloy trade places. Caleb is now in what was the new body Dimitri was in. Nothing physical occurs, just a mental state switch. Caleb will suddenly be 'there' with the knowledge Dimitri has gained whilst in the Dreamlands.

Terra listens quietly as the spirit talks to the others, answering questions. He is stuck on the spirits mention of the emperor and his eyes. The piece of the riddle that he had heard, playing once more as a loop through his mind.
"You said, stay out of his sight. You have heard our riddles. Can you tell us what it means about "the eyes that he has stolen?" How can we know when we are safe from those eyes and when we are not Spirit?"
Terra asks as the boat smoothly moves along, carried by the Babylon spirit. She wouldn't be here much longer, and they needed all the answers they could get. He is relieved to see Mattie finally back to her senses as she looks up, catching on quickly to the situation and throws in her own questions.
He walks closer to her, examining the bruises that littered her body, though not making it obvious. He makes mental notes of the bruises, the bumps, the scrapes, and the cuts. She was pretty badly beaten up, and already his brain was separately working on a way to bring his friend healing.
"Spirit, if the coins we connected are what brought you to us, and since we have called you to soon, how can we call on you again when the time is right?"

"I am afraid, little one, I do not know what 'the eyes that he has stolen' means. But I can be summoned again, or wait for you in the desert so I am nearer to my sister. What do you wish?" The boat is gently placed back into the water, which now has a beautiful lavender hue from lightening skies above them.
<only 1 day left on the boat>

"We can call you back when the time is right." Mattie answers the spirit and looks to Terra with a weak smile. "I presume the coin will break and need to be put back together."
She leans against Jillian who is behind her. "Someone find my brother please." she says as she slinks down against Jillian. Her body weak and sore. She needed to be healed.

Terra seems disappointed that the spirit didn't know the meaning behind his riddle, but no matter he would figure it out. He smiles, with gratitude up at the spirit, thankful for her help.
"I think, you being near your sister, is great, but the choice is not only mine to make."
He turns to the rest of the group, looking around at each one as he asks them, "what do you all think? Should we ask that the Babylon spirit wait in the desert nearest Bathmoora, or would...."
He is cut off as Mattie suddenly goes slack against Jillian, worry suddenly etches his face. Without thinking, he swiftly picks Mattie up cradling her in his arms. He looks around, spotting Dimitry.
"Something is wrong! Mattie needs you!"
He looks up at the spirit once more, apologetic as he says. "She is in trouble, thank you Babylon spirit for all of your help, please excuse me. I must tend to her."
Terra turns around, looking for the captain, when he spots him he makes his way to him, Mattie still in his arms.
"Captain, I need an empty room, cot, or bed. I need to tend to Mattie, and quickly. Where can I go?"
He looks over his shoulder at Dimitry "You can stay and help the group to make a choice, or you may come with us. Either way your sister needs help, and the deck is not the best place for her to get it."
Terra turns back to the captain, waiting for him to lead the way.

The captain leads them to his own private cabin, it isn't much, but it does have a bed in it. The room itself is covered in Arabian silks, a large beautiful silken bed is by a set of the vessels windows. A table is set with some delicious smelling food, the scent of it fills the air with exotic aromas. There is a cask of wine sitting in the corner of the room, held down by ropes to keep it in place.
