Lili was sore. More so from the experience she had had the night before with Dristan's change. She had traveled back to London, asking to be dropped back to Mary's Estate. She was nervous. Raven was beside her and she looked at the dog with a sigh as she stood outside the house. "I dont know what to expect boy. I'm a little nervous." Raven huffed in response.
Lucky for Lili, it was still light enough that no one should be awake. She could settle in back to her room, and wait for Mary to rise and to talk. She had eaten, as to not disturb others in the house. She unlocks the door quietly and ushers Raven up the stairs and with her truck pulled it up and into the room. She took her time setting things back up. She knew she had upset Mary again. She worried for their relationship and she hoped that in the end she would understand.
Lili would pay back whatever it was Mary asked of her. At least...almost whatever. Once settled in, Lili removed the zipped sweatshirt and hung it over a chair near the desk and curled up on her bed reading one of her many books. Her door was cracked just slightly as she delved into the book and waited for those in the house to wake. Raven was slumped in front of the bed on the rug, big brown eyes watching the door.

As the sun fully set, Liliana began to hear movement in the house. Above, and below. She was used to hearing Jasmine move about, but there seemed to be more people in the house than she remembered
About an hour after sunset, there is a light knock on her door, and it opens inwards, and Mary is standing there. She'd changed. Lil could tell in the way she held herself, the expression on her face, the aura she gave off. Before, Mary had felt very much the monster, but it had been a human monster. Now, there was nothing human left of her, only the beast sitting behind her eyes, watching.
"You let without leaving word." She says simply. "Why?"

Lili looked up having heard the movement in the hallways. She was mentally preparing herself for anything and everything. When the knock appeared at her door and and it swung open slightly to Mary standing there. She marks her page and sits up setting the book beside her on the night stands.
"I'm so sorry" She whispered. It was obvious she that despite being awake, she was in a lingering pain. "Everything came crashing down. Dristan took off, So I spent some time on my own, saw my parents, and then the distance with Dristan. His emotions and the..." She paused. "I literally lost it. Couldn't function. Dmitry basically had to knock me out for days so I wouldn't....I know I should have come to you for all of this. But I didn't. I reached out to him, and told me where he was, and I just went. With out a second thought, I planned it all out and left so I could get back to being myself again."
She sighed, hazel eyes looking up to the women in the doorway.

Maryilent throughout Liliana's explanation, her expression unchanging. When she is finished, Mary moves into the room, closing the door behind her, leaning against it.
"Why did you not lave a note?"

She watched Mary come into the room and shut the door. She wasnt sure what was going on. There was something different about the women before her. Had she changed on her trip..
"I don't know Mary. I know I should have. But I didn't. I don't really have an excuse for it" Her eyes continue to look over at her.

Mary watches Liliana. She watches the girl squirm under her gaze. Good. Let her learn. Mary smiles. It's cold and calculating and full of dark promise.
"We had an accord, you made a promise. Strike one."
She toys with the rosary hanging around her neck, looking down at it, then back up at Liliana.
"And the book?"

She simply nods to her. When she brings up the book she nods and stands pulling the book from her shelf where she left it.
"I left it here for safe keeping. I did send the book, but I'm not sure when Aisha or David received it. I did write out the copy like you asked" She turned to her bag pulling out the copy she kept for herself and handed it to Mary for her viewing.
There it was, hand written in Lili's rather clear print on parchment paper. "Took a while. But I did finally get it done."

Mary takes the original, turning it over gently in her hands, then looks at Liliana's copy with a brief nod.
"I had asked to to leave my original with Exo while I was away. But you made the copies, good. Though took a little longer then I would have preferred. That is my failure for not providing a firm deadline. For tardiness, I will ask you to make another copy, for our new sister in the Sword. And you can personally present it to her, and explain its meaning."
She smiles. She wonders how well Liliana remembers Aisha.

Lili stands before Mary looking up at her. She takes in her words and nods. "I did get them done. I'll know next time to get it done quicker" She pauses at the mention of a new sister.
"For Jasmine? Or is there someone else since I went away?" She asked quietly.

"Jasmine will be making her own copy. There is another, recently embraced, above you. Her sire is with my brother Erskine, undergoing ... repairs. Both suffered a great ordeal, so will be staying here until they are ready to move on. My warning from the beginning of summer ... do not go above the second floor ... holds as true now, if not more so. They may be active below, too. Some watchful."
Mary moves off the wall, and walks towards Liliana, her stride smooth and practiced.
"For your strike, I will need to be creative. You disappointed me, and damaged the trust you had so carefully built in the weeks prior. What do you suggest as recompense? Think hard. If you are not creative enough, I will have to be."

Lili nods once again. She wasn't sure what exactly to say to her. "I'll be watchful, and avoid the floors you request" She said softly. "When would you like the copy of the book finished?" She would do it when she needed. She hadn't had very many other plans the rest of the summer until school.
"I was never one to be good at forming my own punishments Mary. My parents tried that on me once. They didn't like the results, though I don't remember what I tried to pass off on them" She was trying to lighten the mood, and in all reality she was rather horrible at coming up with punishments. She could try...Maybe ask Dristan for Advice...Or, just take whatever it was that Mary would have her do....

"Hmm .. perhaps then, you can be of assistance."
She moves to sit on the bed beside Liliana, pulling her legs up and sitting cross-legged, facing the young witch. She smiles at Raven who wolfs gently despite the vampiress' demeanour.
""It was brought to my attention, while visiting my sire in Greece, that I do not take appropriate care of my appearance. It is habit amount my clan to employ ghouls as chamber maids, to dress us, do our hair and make-up. The problem with mirrors and all that." She looks at Liliana to see if she's following the thought. "Before I go to the trouble of finding a mortal to fit into this position, perhaps it would be appropriate for you to serve me In this role. Only until school goes back, of course. It will allow me the opportunity to see if the trouble to find a suitable servant will be worthwhile." She runs her fingers through her tangled hair with a sigh. "I can promise not to beat you if you displease me." Her grin doesn't reach her ice green eyes, and it flashes just a little fang.

Lili tilts her head when Mary mentions she doesnt take appropriate care of her appearance. "Really? I think you look,fine."
She listens intently as she explains her reasoning and nods. "I'm not great with hair and makeup honestly. But if that is what you would request then I can do my best to,fulfil that role." She keeps comments quiet when she notes the whole not beating part. And nods silently.

Mary smiles. "Marvellous. We can learn together. I need to present a more professional face in my new role." She says. "First impressions, and all that." Mary seems to relax a little. The cold predator is still there, but submerged a little more, and something of the old Mary surfaces. "Now tell me about your time on the mountain."

"Well. YouTube will be our new teacher then" she joked. "Online video thing. People post videos for make up and hair tutorials." She explains just in case..."new role? You gained a new role on your trip?" She too relaxes and sits next to Mary on the bed.
"It was interesting. Really pretty. The work outs were extreme. I about died with it all. But I learned a lot. I have a paper to give the transfiguration professor to finish my training." She pauses, her demeanor shifting slightly as the memory races across her mind. She chews her lower lip and looks to Mary.
"Sloth showed up during one of my meditations on the mountain." She seems bothered by the experience. " the one who killed James. She and I spoke, briefly trying to figure out how the two, demon and Adamson were joined. It went from there. A challenge of will. I was holding up with training I was going through, a resilience to her draining." She pauses again taking in a deep breath. "She tried to kill me. Literally sucking the soul from my body. I could feel it. I could feel my demon raging as if it was getting ready to escape...Dmitry managed to show up, somehow...I was a little out of it. And I was in his arms and she left...."

"You tube? It sounds dastardly. I do own a computer, with internet. It will be interesting to see these tutorials." She looks contemplative. "Yes," she shows Liliana her hand. Among the many silver rings she's always worn now rests a heavy gold one, decorated with catholic iconography, set with a large ruby. "I was made Cardinal during my visit with Diego."
"Hmm, transfiguration. I wonder who will be teaching that this year." She gives Liliana a knowing smile.
"I am glad Sloth did not eat you. And that Dmitry saved you. Will he be joining us for the remainder of the summer? To continue his protection?"

"There are some horrible things on the website. But it does have some good tools as well." She looks down at the ring upon her finger and looks back to her. "Catholic, Cardinal? So your in charge of everything now? That's what a cardinal is if I remember right."
She gives the women a look raising her brow. "Isn't professor Ria returning? Has there been a staff change since then?" She seemed confused though things at Hogwarts did seem odd some years. Teachers coming and going. "I'm not sure about Dmitry. He's been doing his own thing, I mean until he came with Dristan to Germany."
She shrugs looking at Raven with a smile.

"I oversee the United Kingdom and Western Europe, and report to the Regent. The position is a two edged sword, but I couldn't refuse." She reaches out and cups Lil's cheek lightly. "You'll learn that power is like that. There is always the reverse side that can come back to bite you. So, when you take it, take it strongly, hold it strongly."
She listens to all Lil's questions. "Professor Ria has found love over the summer. You don't read the papers? She has married, and is moving to New York to be with her new husband."
Mary can't wait for Liliana to learn the full truth of those words.

"So its good and bad. I guess I could see how that could be." She nods leaning ever so slightly into the women's hand.
She had missed the women despite all of the drama.
"Nit recently no. I haven't kinda cut off from everything in the mountains of Germany. Well,good for her. She will be missed at Hogwarts for sure,"
Raven,huffs a bit and rests his chin on her lap. "Do you think the headmistress will allow Raven at Hogwarts?" She asked looking to Mary. "I mean. Hes nit exactly a rat, owl, cat or toad...." She laughed as he lifts his head and hurts.

Mary laughs.
"No, he is none of those things. Perhaps in the time between now and school starting you could try to learn a little more about him, and then infor, her about his existence, and see what she says."
She reaches into a pocket and pulls out an old hair brush, hands it to Liliana, and turns so her back is to the girl. Mary's hair really needs a good brush.
"As for Aisha and David, they are here for a little yet, you can say hello and goodbye before they head home." she says simply.

"I guess. I'll have to relook at the information I found on the coin. Its Tribal. and really old. I know that much. I can't remember the rest of what I read. But your right. I should be informed about him before I do anything about it. Hopefully if i can find the way to explain it all she'll allow it. As along as he promises not to chase the cats" She smiled.
As Mary turned handing her an old hair brush and turned back to her she nods with another smile. She fans out the women's hair lightly starting at the bottom and taking it section by section. She works her way up each section , carefully brushing out any sort of knot that she finds.
"David..Oh. The one that I met at the club opening night. I guess I hadn't realized they ended up together. I did see them that night." She says softly.

"You may need to look to older information sources. There are some good museums nearby you could try."
Mary seems to enjoy having her hair brushed.
"Yes. Once you start catching up on the world, you'll learn he was kidnapped about a week ago during their honeymoon. It was quite a feat to retrieve him. They are recovering here for privacy, then plan to hold a press conference announcing his return." She waves a hand dismissively. "I don't really understand the media, or what it is to be a celebrity. They had been in the room down from yours, but when you notified me you were returning, I put them upstairs."

Lili nods and she continues to moved section by section. "I'll have to venture out one day to go check it out" She said with a silent nod. She listens as Mary explains the situation that had occured with David and seemed a little confused, though anything is possible now adays.
"So, while on their honeymoon David was taken? I guess i never would have guessed you could be kidnapped" She seemed to ponder on that a moment.

Lili pauses a moment at her comment and thinks quietly to herself. Her mind raced with the words of the man currently sitting down by the front door stuck as a statue.
If they want you badly enough... The statement played over and over as she moved to a new section. She was almost done with it; only about 2 more sections to go. She nods. "Sounds scary. But Yes. Rather romantic if you ask me." Her eyes look up to meet Mary's as she turns to look at her.

"David's kidnappers were mostly mortal. And he had Aisha to consider. If those men come for you again, do what you must. And, worst case ... we will work together to see you returned safely too."

"These aren't mortal though" She whispers looking down at her hand in Mary's. "We know first hand they are magical in some form." She sets the brush down a moment. "I can't exactly do much. I can't defend myself magically until October. And I've learned some defend stuff in Germany but its not a lot. And if the for lack of better word Steralize Raven..." She simply nods to her. "Glad to know id be sought after." She half joked.
She didn't want to think about it anymore. She tried to push it away for now. "Almost done with the brushing. Is there anything in particular you want down with it tonight? Or should we leave it down?"

"David's captors weren't entirely mortal, either, Their leader was his Sire. And he had a flesh crafter and a death eater in his employ. We had Aisha, Quinn, and Last Rites. We won. If someone comes for you, you can guarantee that Dristan and Dmitry at least will be added to your rescue party. If they get you, they will not hold you, I promise." You are mine. She didn't say that out loud, though.
Mary turns again so Lil can finish the brushing. "Can you braid?" she asks.

"Wait. His own sire kidnapped him?" She asked tilting her head curiously. "But why? Why kidnap your own childer?" She was confused at the statement. Though honestly why would anyone kidnap anyone? There was usually always some sort of motive. She looks down to Raven, who snuffs at her. "You make me a promise right now bow. Don't get yourself killed. You come find this pretty lady here, and you tell her something happened."
The look on the dogs face was rather funny as he raised his ears. She shakes her head and goes back to the last few sections of hair. All of the knots and snarls where out as Lili ran her fingers through it to prove it. "Sure."
She splits the hair into three sections and twists the hair into a simple braid. "I can try to teach myself other braid styles if you'd like. I'm sure we can find and try some really pretty things." She sits back and looks at Mary. "I'd even be willing to help while at school if you wanted. If we do anymore one of one teachings while we're there."

"David and his sire did not have the most stellar of relationships. But that is for him to discuss if he feels the need. The upshot is we got David back, his henchmen were dealt with, and he himself will soon be no more."
Mary turns to look at the dog. It looks at her. They both tilt their heads as they look at each other. Mary smiles, and Raven woofs, and nuzzles her hand.
"He's interesting, definitely more than a dog."
She reaches back to feel her hair as Liliana finishes, "thank you. And lessons will definitely continue. I had planned a summer full, but ... well, things."
